Ouch! If you get busted in the US you get a job. In other countries, you get put in a rat hole.

Retaliation for what, The police doing their job? They're not being sued by Sony. They're being brought up on criminal charges for identity theft.

It's a little different than a civil suit where one guy is getting harassed by a multi-billion dollar company.

It wont. You think people are going to stop pirating media just because the RIAA/MPAA sues a few people for a ridiculous claim?

Pirating media, of course not. But all this Web site hacking is getting wayy out of hand.

I guess with all this hacking news these days, it reminds me of all the movies I've seen where someone is hacking into a company for sensitive material and it's like a race with time before their house gets raided!

Obviously I know that isn't real life, but geez, some arrests are way past due.

I'm saying if people aren't going to stop pirating after a few people being sued for $250 million, I don't think hackers are going to stop hacking businesses.

I'd like to send a message to these Spanish gentleman.

I ran "Don't drop the soap!" through Google Translate, and it came up with:

No deje caer el jabon!

But that doesn't seem quite right. Can any native speakers help?

I can help, but with "Don't drop the soap" what do you mean. Thats an english phrase, you dont translate those directly.

I certainly don't think they'll be placing these perps in a comfy chair in a ruthlessly efficient manner anytime soon. :)

They may however attempt to use tactics like fear, surprise and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.

@copa I would gladly offer my spanish-speaking services to help you, kind Sir. The translation is correct, although a bit too formal. Definitely not what one would say to a criminal going to jail.

A more appropriate phrase would be something like, "Si se cae el jabon, cuida tu ano."

I'm Dominican, so my Spanish isn't as formal as say, Mexican, but that phrase translates to "Don't let the soap drop".
