I wonder if it will include Wii Motion+ with it or not, otherwise I guess I will buy that golden Zelda Wiimote.

A bundle with the game, gold Wii remote, and gold MotionPlus would be pretty damn awesone.

I don't think you can play the game without WiiMotion+ so I figure there will have to be a bundle with it.

Yeah I would doubt that since it is built entirely around it. Glad to hear that it is near one:one, though not being able to parry attacks is a bit disappointing.

Haven't you heard of the Wii Remote Plus? It has replaced the standard Wii Remote at retail, and the gold remote is the Plus version. It has Motion Plus built into it, so games that need Motion+ work with it.

I thought everyone knew that. The original MotionPlus accessory has been discontinued. The new Wii Remote Plus controllers have it built in.

You can still get it in some stores while they still have it in stock, but it is $25 while the new controllers with it built in are $40

@GrayHero - We have, but some of us have had the Wii - and 4 controllers - since the dawn of the system. With 2 games purchased that came with the MotionPlus attachment, rebuying a controller with it built in seems a bit pointless; it even adds a bit of length below the 1/2 buttons, so shifting your hand while pointing the controller to hit these buttons ends up being better.

All I'm really interested in is if the game brings back the same nostalgic feeling I get every time I play Link to the Past.

I would love that very much.

I have a Wii Remote Plus. The MotionPlus built in saves a lot of hassle with changing it everytime you want to play a platformer that uses the Wii Remote sideways.

I know this is like, a crime punishable by death, but i've never played a zelda game before. I've got a Wii and a 3DS, so I've got a lot of choices, but the question is, which one do i start with?

I'd say get A Link to the Past off the Virtual Console, and then pick up Ocarina of Time for your 3DS.

No crime. I'd start with OoT on Virtual Console if you want a more modern sensation of Zelda, but you also have the classics (NES 1 and 2, and Link to the Past for the SNES) available on the VC if you want the 2D feel. Then go to Wind Waker. Then go to Twilight Princess.

This isn't a "best" list. Just the order you may want to play the series.

Just my personal opinion, but I think everyone should play one of the original top downs first. The original "Legend Of Zelda" is probably a bit too difficult and admittedly might not have stood up to the tests of time for someone who doesn't have the nostalgia factor.

As it is, "A Link to The Past" really nailed the formula wonderfully.

If 3D is your thing, Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess were both really good and also captured the spirit of the series pretty wonderfully.

Majora's Mask and Phantom Hourglass, while both great games, changed certain aspects of the spirit of the original that not every one agreed with.

@Mrguy you know that guy It's hard to say without knowing whether you'll prefer the 2D or 3D ones.

If you start with 3D, you might as well do it chronologically. Pick up the collector's edition for the gamecube and play OoT and Majora's Mask (wasn't fond of that one myself, but you should try it), then play Wind Waker, then TP!

Well actually, you could skip the collector's edition and just get OoT for 3DS.

I'm a gamer from the Genesis/SNES era, but something tells me i'd have better time getting into the series with the 3D games. Each game has a different Link from a different time period, right? Or am i reading that wrong?

Zelda is one of those games that is best not viewed through the lense time periods or a continuity. It has been somewhat of a topic of debate and discussion among fans for a very long time. In any event, each game stands on its own, regardless of the games before and after it.

Story and continuity wise, you will miss nothing by starting at any point in the series. If you were a SNES-gen player, I again recommend the top down Link to the Past. It is polished and pretty (enough).

Just play that until OoT 3D is released. OoT is really the best place to start with 3D.

don't forget to play Zelda Links Awakening, its a original Game Boy game, and they even have the Game Boy Color version on the DS shop. BUY IT!!

imho its the only Zelda game story worth it (besides OoT)... it doesn't even feature Zelda or Ganon but thats what makes the story so unique and original. Its amazing! play it

It will actually probably take quite a while to complete. I'd say upwards of 25-35 hours. It's possible to beat it in just a few hours after completing several times, but the thing about Zelda games is that its all about exploration. The beautiful thing about LttP is that it's almost two game experiences in one. Without giving anything away, the mechanics change about a quarter of the way through it, but that first section of the game is a great stand alone game.

Link to the past if you want the 2d experience and Ocarina of Time if you want the 3d one. Everything else is pretty much a remix of one of those two. Not really missing anything if you skip the original Zelda.

Wind Waker is my personal favorite Zelda.

The art style, the smooth as honey gameplay, the story and writing, the Zelda mythology being wonderfully represented by the art style, the spectacular music, the glorious combat, and the sweet, sweet nostalgia that I have from it, makes it one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm surprised how many people were pissed about him being a righty in the game. We know the reason why they changed it. Come on!

We've always known the reason. More than that though, we also have always known they went the lazy route and there's really no excuse that there isn't a left hand option. The Wii Remote is symmetrical in a way to be comfortable for people favouring either hand, that they can't provide an option - and then actually had to mirror an entire game to get around it - is pretty stupid IMO.

I want to play this motion-controlled game with my dominant hand, just like the right-handed side of the population! That Link has traditionally been left-handed in previous Zelda titles is only a small kick in the proverbial balls comparatively.

Bear in mind, this was the primary anatagonist whose blows could not be parried. Link is kind of a little guy, badass or not. I couldn't see him ever parrying a Gannon attack, if Gannon were to pick up a sword.

Now if he can't parry the skeletons attacks, then I agree, that's lame.

Kind of agree, but I certainly understand the design choice. Wouldn't make much sense if they just allowed you to basically be invincible against a sword wielding boss...

Hahaha it's like 2007 all over again!

Let's see...
Nintendo's games:
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Metroid Prime Trilogy (if you can find it)
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Metroid Other M (debatable, though I enjoyed it)
Wii Sports
Wii Sports Resort
Punch Out!!
Mario Strikers Charged
Mario Kart Wii
SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL

3rd Party games:
Sonic Colors
No More Heroes
House of the Dead: Overkill
Zack and Wiki
Mega Man 9 and 10
Okami
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles
GoldenEye 007
Dead Space Extraction
Epic Mickey
Tatsunoko vs Capcom
Monster Hunter Tri
Sonic Unleashed (debatable)
Bit.Trip series

Not to mention the hundreds of Virtual Console games.

Yeah there's PLENTY of "core" games available on the Wii. I have a Wii and it's one of my favorite game systems. The Virtual Console alone makes it worth having.
