Before you indulge that sudden, irresistible desire to purchase two recent PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 games, allow us to pass along some helpful information. Best Buy is offering a buy one, get one half-off deal on several PS3 and Xbox 360 games including Dirt 3, Portal 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Red Faction: Armageddon, and Crysis 2.

You could even double up on Duke Nukem Forever and Homefront, if that's what you're into for some reason. Regardless of the critical response to the Duke, it's pretty impressive to get a 50% off deal on a brand new game like that ... right?

got killzone 3 half off with the infamous 2 deal last week

Duke will be like homefront and medal of honor. Critics bash the game but it will sell millions and fans will eat It up and love it.

I just pray duke sells enough to make 2k develop a brand new nuke game that doesn't take 14 years. I'll be good with a 2-4 year wait. Next gen launch duke title anyone?

Sears has alot of these games for $40. No need to buy one at regular price! Portal 2, Socom 4, Killzone 3, etc.

Best Buy has had a lot of deals on games lately. I just bought their Gamer magazine and used a coupon in it for $15 off Motorstorm: Apocalypse, but there's a ton more coupons in there, including a coupon for 50% off any used game. I paid $5 for the magazine and it's already paid for itself three times over.

@Rollins I got a trial issue of that in the mail (not sure why, maybe because I'm a Reward Zone member?) and it had a coupon for $20 off AC: Brotherhood right around when it first came out. There were 5 or so others worth $10-$15 off various games. I was kinda surprised at how good of a deal the coupons were

I want infamous 2(for uc3 beta really) and red faction 2 but too bad infamous is not on the list :(

Eh I just got Dirt 3 today by itself at Kmart today. Sweet game so far even though I suck at it, lol.

I would buy Mortal Kombat in a heartbeat if there was something else on that list that I was interested in.

Wait until Amazon.com matches the deal.

I'm hoping there is a really good PS3 move bundle or 360 Kinect bundle deal coming soon. Like within 30 days, though it seems like we would have heard about it at EEE.

I'm out of town longterm and work and didn't bring anything with me. Except for my Macbook, and that sucks.

@Deone Ouch. That does suck. I wouldnt want to be stuck somewhere with a Macbook or any apple product for that matter.
