No, I read the contract on the Welcome Back program, it will not charge us in the future. If you want to stay in the plan you have to subscribe after the free 30 days.

no they make a point of explicitly expressing that this is not the case, at least if you accept the free one, which i assume this guy did.

i'm waiting until the last day to redeem mine since i'll be moving to civilization soon and out of sticks and will finally be able to get away from this suck ass HughesNet with it's suck ass "Fair Access Policy"

Do you need Madness Returns to play the original Alice (it's listed as an add-on)?
I'm not interested in the new game, but I'd be happy to revisit the original for $10.

Yes. You need the disc to play the original. If you buy the game new, you get this for free. Its ea's online pass for this game.

The Psblog shows Braid for 3.75 with 15 being the original price. I'm inclined to believe them over Joystiq. I'll check the PSN later though.

Also, Zipper accidentally released the SOCOM 4: Assault Pack early today! (They were nice about it, and left it up!) 3 new maps, 2 new guns.

(In addition to that, there was a patch today that greatly improved the camera collision system, added dead zone and acceleration slider bars, and many other much-needed revisions/fixes/tweaks.)

Anyone else check when their PSN+ expires? If the date on mine is right, my sub kept ticking down during the outage, and the 60 free days started when the PSN went back, not the store. Kind of lame.

@feefernet Didn't mean to come across as whining, but I guess I did. And I'm not complaining about the free 60 days. What I'm complaining about is their time window. Still counting off days on my sub when the service is down is kind of cheap.

I was gonna ask if Midnight Club LA complete edition was worth $20, but never mind, it's on the full game trials on PS plus, so I have an hour of gameplay to make my mind.

lol that's kind of the point of a game trial no? ;). It's actually one of my favorite features on PS+. Try a game before you play it, and not just a canned demo. Only thing is I'm from Canada so I can't download too many 5+ gig games in a month but it definitely helped for Borderlands and Assassin's Creed 1

Man, I still can't decide what my second free game should be. I downloaded inFamous already...LittleBigPlanet is my best bet, but my in-laws own that and I could just borrow their copy if I want to play it (they're not big gamers, so it's not like it gets used much). Other than those two, I'm not THAT interested in anything...Wipeout maybe, but i'm not a huge fan of racing games...

couldn't disagree more. i found dead nation to be really, really boring and repetitive. just because it has zombies, doesn't mean it has to be great. kinda wish i could take it back as one of my free games and get wipeout hd instead....oh well, it was free.

Stardust HD is surprisingly addictive. I was thinking Dead Nation but after seeing gameplay videos and I don't really get what's so cool about Wipeout, i decided on SSHD, could not be happier.

I think it also has 3D support, so there's that too.

lol mine up and got a red screen of death when I put my brand new inFAMOUS 2 disc into it. Out of warranty and protection plan and everything. I was pissed.

Traded in a whole pile of crap I don't use anymore and got myself a brand new 160GB (they even had the CoD: Black Ops bundle left over).

I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times, and a thousand apologies for asking again, but if I buy a dicounted game with my Playstation Plus subscription I get to keep it after playstation plus expires right?

And I assume the free games I won't get to keep? Do I get to keep trophies for those free games?

As far as I know, you'll lose the free games but keep the discounted purchases / trophies and avatars.

'RickGhastly' is correct. The games you bought at a discount, are your's to keep; you bought em (no matter what the price). However, you will lose access to the "free" games. Think of those like Netflix movies. You can access them for "free", as long as you are still a subscriber.
