@rullers really my daughter will love this game she is into some bella sara cards that has ponies with an online game that looks just like this so now she can have her own full game. Today's deal will be cheaper than buying the card packs all the time.

@rullers I just checked what the deal is. LAWL. And it's going to be funny if anyone reads this tomorrow or any day after and has no idea what game we're talking about.

@troxnor

But you'll still be speding some money.
They're MMO's you pay the initial game fee first, just these are free to play without the monthly fee

@HellFlyer Not in any of the 5 Steam has. A.V.A. nearly has it, however all the guns are really well-balanced and can all be obtained with ingame hard work, so your statement is null and void.

@Jenks Not in any of the ones Steam added. Trust me, I played 4 of them. They gathered the BEST, and all of them are true F2Ps with everything available without cash, and cash just makes things cooler or easier (Get guns with 15 hours less grinding in A.V.A., Do more actions per day in Spiral Knights, get new gear colorings in Global Agenda, etc.). Don't worry, VALVe knows what they're doing, they wouldn't give us games we're required to pay anything for and call them Free2Play.

@Captaindrek1 Wrong. These are 100% free to start and free to keep playing. Like they said, all the money parts are Microtransactions, like buying Gear Colorings in Global Agenda or more energy for actions in Spiral Knights once you use up the daily amount.

Spiral Knights was kinda interesting. I may have to redownload it through Steam to see if they added any more since release.

@bluejuan85 I think they will. Forsaken World is by Perfect World Entertainment, so hopefully they're testing the waters with Forsaken World, and if it works out they'll toss in PWI, along with Blacklight: Retribution and the Torchlight MMO when those get released.

Great now they are bringing out garbage on Steam. Keep this free to play crap off Steam or place it on Facebook or something where nobody will see it.

I can't speak for the other games, but Spiral Knights is awesome, and one of the few F2P games (the other being League of Legends) that "does it right". If you write it off just because it's F2P, you're missing out on one of the best dungeon-crawlers ever made.

These games are better than some of the unplayable, literally, pieces of crap some publishers put on Steam. Releasing it on a modern sales platform without the slightest patch to make life easier. It would probably take an hour or one day of work to address most of the issues, but no they'll try to screw you over instead. Which is just shameful.

Thank goodness the forums usually catch any problems when Steam fails to acknowledge them at first on the sales page.

@Koya Your comment isn't grayed out now, but in a second it will be. Know things before you speak n00b, these aren't Facebook games. These are REAL, EPIC games that are completely free. Man, Zynga has done a hell of a job with their Facebook junk if there's people who associate Free2Play with crap like theirs :/

@CaptainProtonX That's exactly what I said. I nearly sqeaked in hapiness when I read the TF2 update and saw the words "Spiral Knights" in it. Then I went to the full news and read they released Spiral Knights, A.V.A., Global Agenda Free Agent, Champions Online, and Forsaken World. Couldn't stop myself from dancing about at that XD

The biggest thing for me about Champions Online was the character creation, and now that powersets are locked for non-gold users, I don't really have a reason to play anymore

More variety of games on Steam? Easy access and some perks to start you off? Great, why not! I'm not interested in these games, but I think it's a good move on Valve's part. :)

@trinica sorry the less that waste time in GA the better and I still can't figure how they got people to pony up the full price at release for this. 2 weeks in I've already regretted throwing money at it for "elite" status. woopie I get creds for items that'll drop anyways lets buy some another armor dye when I level. While the concept is nice it truely is unfortunate they decided to use the horrible unreal tech engine to power it. I can run source for hours on end, rift, wow, any id tech engine, dice engine and no issue. I'll run this pos for a couple minutes, exit it and the system needs a reboot to clear out all the memory holes left. And thats after the horrible framerate and ping being saddled on their waiting room of the dome for a group to come up.
