I'm more looking forward to Guardian Heroes, but Treasure's shooters always make for a nice "frothing demand" joke!

You can't help but admire the hard work and focus Treasure puts in to the new renditions of classic games they are bringing to the 360. They could have been a lazy developer and just simply half halfheartedly just port the games to the 360. But they restructure the games, bring them new life not only a new system but for a new generation.

Since Treasure first released Gunstar Heroes several years back I have been waiting to get my hands on Guardian Heroes and Radian Silvergun once again. Two amazing Saturn games that not only set the bar on their respected genres but brought gamers to a new level on video game fun.

@Deadpool

To end this debate and the the countless questions from playstation fans as to why Treasure is giving them a sort of back hand. You have to travel through some past gaming articles and get some information. Both on Treasures stance and Microsofts part in to some of these games being released on their system.

The first one "Why is Xbox getting Radiant Silvergun?" Going through a old 1up article I saved from last year. Treasure themselves were doubtful that Radiant Silvergun would ever make it to any current gen system. It seemed in many ways unattainable because of financial situations and the size of the developers. Microsoft requested that Radiant Silvergun be released on the 360 and Treasures fans responded that they also wanted to see the game come to the 360. So from that Treasure listened both to the fans and Microsoft and put the time and effort into bringing it to the 360.

It is no lie that the 360 seems to be Treasures gaming platform of choice. Classic games of theirs such as Gunstar Heroes, Ikaruga, and Bangai-O have been brought to the system and reached a level in some way shape or form of success. The president of Treasure himself believes that the 360 is "The best platform for hardcore gamers" in his eyes he feels the 360 is the spiritual successor of the Saturn and Dreamcast.

Playstation fans may be pissed about it and thats understandable but as we seen in the past with Treasures development stance they develop for systems that their company heart wishes to. It's not for a main profit but rather what they can do, how they can test themselves as a developer, and what they can provide the fans of that system.

I have been a fan of Treasure for a number of years as a gamer. If these games never make it to playstation and you want a true reason to get a 360 in any shape or form just look toward Treasures games. They even if they are new renditions of classic games. They reach new levels that even newly made games now days can never reach.

That makes no sense, the reason is "Microsoft requested that Radiant Silvergun be released on the 360 and Treasures fans responded that they also wanted to see the game come to the 360. So from that Treasure listened both to the fans and Microsoft and put the time and effort into bringing it to the 360"?

OK, I am a Treasure fan and I have a PS3 and I want all their games released on PSN. I can pay by cash or card.

So, It's not coming to PSN because Treasure's heart lies with the 360 and XBL? Wat?

By the way, I've never seen 360 typed so many times in one post. You must heart the 360 as much as Treasure does.

Some fanboyism there huh fellows? The man explained simple and clear, gave references and yet you refuse to acknowledge the fact?

BigEgo007, why don't you use your cash or credit to buy a 360 and stop bitchng about it then?

Trilancer, counting how many times the dude wrote "360", is that your argument? At loss of words right now.

It might seem I'm taking a pro-Microsoft stance but actually I'm just against your behavior. In fact, even though I own a 360 and a Wii, I'm considering buying a PS3 ever since forever and this will is reaching critical mass.

BTW: I'm gonna save you the trouble Trilancer, I used it three times.

Nice try to troll
I am not a fanboy, hence I did not diss the 360. I made a logical argument in that if the reason for Treasure to release their games was that MS requested and 360 owners wanted, then why not release on the PSN since SONY would not object and PS3 owners have voiced their wanting for the games?

Not all single console owners are fanboys. Some just have budget limits.

And a +1 for the closing trolliet sentence. I can count, that had no bearing on my logic

@Deadpool because Treasure doesn't like making games as much for Sony systems. The last time they put out a game on a Sony system was Gradius V. Radiant Silvergun was a Saturn game, Ikaruga was on Dreamcast and Gamecube.

@Deadpool Or you could just deal with the fact that consoles have system exclusives instead of whining every time the xbox gets something that PSN doesn't.

It's nice try to use the "troll card trumph" when we run out of arguments, isn't it? You answered your question yourself.

"Microsoft requested" and "Sony wouldn't oppose" are two completely different things. For further information, refer back to Stevetrop Man of Mystery comment.

Your opinion being that if you have a PS3 you are not allowed to ask that great games be released on your console. And any attempt to would brand you as a fanboy?

How else am I (and others) going to get our voices heard by the developer? Buy a copy of The Secret and wish real hard in silence?

I think you are starting a console racism trend here.

The fact is if you love shmups you have to buy a 360. PSN has a few exclusives as well (SoldnerX series, Super Stardust), so really you need both systems to get all the good games.

By the way, I already have a 360. Call me a fanboy if you want. Doesn't hurt my feelings a bit.

@Trilancer Maybe it's just not in the developer's best interests to develop for both consoles? Maybe they can't spare the resources for more than one port? Maybe porting it to another console isn't practical because of code? Some developers have budget limits. But I guess developers don't matter.

Of course I'm thinking about the developer. I want SNK classics but I know there isnt that much of a sale potentional so I dont ask and ask. But Treasure games have a large following and selling at $10-15 on PSN will bring in a lot of revenue. If you have iPod games being ported to PSN (PvZ) and SquareEnix and Konami releasing games on both systems (where is Castlevania HD?) there should be no reason not too.

The code is already there, just port it. This absurd talk about fanboyism is just trolling, plain & simple. I am not playing a card, I did not diss the 360 at all.

If an iPad owner askes for a DS game to be ported, would you just trash talk em and say you do not deserve to have this? Give me a reason.

Thanks for the info, but if that's the case isn't Treasure shooting themselves in the foot? Treasure is a very small company, wouldn't you think they would try to play every card available whether or not they prefer a specific system? As much as I like Treasure, I honestly don't know how they stayed around so long in the business aspects of gaming. I just hope they don't end up like SNK, which is sadly what may happen if they don't think toward the future.

It costs money to play the card.

It's a catch 22, they'd could potentially make more money if they also made a PS3 version, but it would cost them more money to make it.

As far as things go, Treasure seems perfectly happy to continue making their games for the 360.

Modes that are only playable by having to purchase & get achievements in other games is a terrible thing. Shame on you Treasure! I hope this trend does not continue!

Note: I own Ikaruga so this wouldn't effect me... but this trend should not be started regardless!

Usually I'm not one to be all like, "why is this Nintendo exclusive not on the 360/PS3 blah blah blah" but, ignoring the fact that it's Nintendo co-developed, I wish that Sin and Punishment 2 could be multiplatform so that every single gamer on the face of the planet could play it.

It is a bit disappointing that this isn't coming out on the PS3 as well. I'm just not crazy about the d-pad on the 360 controller and prefer to play games which rely heavily on it on my PS3. Oh well, I guess I need to turn on my 360 every once in a while also.

I just don't understand why is it fanboy-ism if I want these games on the PSN. I don't want to buy a console, which the majority of games that come out for it either don't appeal to me or are multi-platform, for some extremely awesome exclusives. If they struck a deal with Microsoft then they should just be real about it. I know they're traditionally a smaller developer and pool resources with publishers. I'm kinda salty about these games right now, but I'm not buying an X360 to play these games. If I'm given one, then that's cool.

Sin and Punishment 2 was understandable, because as far as I know it has ties to Nintendo. I mean, Saki is an assist trophy in Brawl, so that's cool. It just doesn't make since to me that these re-releases aren't multi-platform (hyphen mania!)

Then again, maybe Sony did something back in the day to cause them to not like them. It's not like these games were released on the PS1. I know I don't deserve any further justification, but I just would like a better answer than what we're getting about the 360 being a hardcore, spiritual successor to the Dreamcast. I want the truth, Treasure!
