Looks cool, tempted to get it depsite hardly ever playing PC games. But is Valve planning to make this DLC come to the PS3 to use with the PS Move? Makes sense to me that they should

I'll definitely buy this DLC if they do. I need more PS Move games anyways...

I remember reading somewhere that Valve didn't actually make the DLC, Razor did, and so it's their decision whether or not to bring it to PS3.

Anyone know how feasible this would be with Move? It would make this content much more accessible since I think many more people would have Move rather than the Hydras.

I gotta say, after watching the video on the "order a controller" link, this appears to be the way Portal 2 was meant to be played. Not that it doesn't play fantastically now, I mean I use an Xbox controller so that's a bit different from comparing it to mouse controls, but... Actually pivoting the weighted pivot cube to fry turrets at an ANGLE, what greater joy could there be in life? ...For that price, I mean.

The device seems cool. But will it be supported by developers enough to make it worth $140?

@Integral - according to the steam page, its compatable with 125 games or some such. seems itneresting. deffinatly will require some kind of "killer app" to get me to drop that kind of money on it. Portal 2 DLC is not that killer app, awesome as it is.

will be interested to see what other developers do with this, if they do anything with it at all.

Absolutely not. PC gaming is my preferred platform but it gets screwed pretty hard on things like this.

However, if devs choose to ignore it there's likely to be a large enough fan community that would make games better with it.

Still, accessories on a PC are a crap shoot for support if they're not a standard controller and even then...

Supported and "made for" are two different things entirely. Although, I imagine due to the nature of this controller support should be enough for most games.

Last i heard there were over 130 games already supported by it.

Prospects are looking good for the controller.

Right?

It looks like it works really well and looks as if it would be pretty fun to play like that. But for 150 bucks, I dont think so. Not to mention that this controller probably wont get a lot of love and it will be worthless in several months.

Nope, that is just a list of "supported" games...not ones that take advantage of the controller. They could list every game that *they* (not the developers) have made work with the controller.

Looks .. okay. I don't really want to spend 150$ on what looks like a Ps3move/wiimote for a game I already have ._.; I mean it has potential and all, but my arm's extension is a xbox 360 controller .. Plus I was never really into the whole motion controls.... I do have to admit if they released it for the Move, then maybe...

If you order it from the Razer website and use UPS ground you get free shipping. You can also get a $5 discount if you use the code RZH1GHF1V3

Played this at E3 with the Hydra. It definitely adds a lot to the game. The technology us very impressive and much more sensitive than the Move.

Sorry Valve .... I only buy one stupid expensive controller per system/console ...

And I bought two copies of Steel Battalion, So I think I'm good on stupid controller purchases for the foreseeable future.

Call me when the general public can play the DLC without plopping down $140 on what appears to be two wii controllers.

Damn... why can't it be under $100 that would be the sweet spot. Since I don't have a kinect, move, or wii this would be awesome to own... Also waiting for the kinect price to drop. Maybe this years black friday will have it for under $100 with the game bundle...

The DLC isn't made by Valve and its going to be a showcase for some gimmicky motion controls.

Why should I get mad again?

Not made by valve? Whew. I guess that means this isn't THE free DLC that they promised?

Because I was really looking forward to that and would be incredibly pissed off if this was it.

Thanks, Valve, for catering to 5 people in the world that have this. Now make some DLC for the rest of the world. Better yet, why not just make more hats for us to buy?

@bvhj Umm because they barely provided any DLC for L4D or L4D2, and all the DLC that was released for those games were pretty sub-par. And so far there's been no Portal 2 DLC.

Horrible... I don't have anywhere near $140 to spend on some stupid controller I would only use for one game. A real shite kick to the fans if you ask me.

@ttcfcl Yes, my gripe isn't mainly about the controller, which I could never afford anyway, it's about the DLC only being playable with that controller.
