Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is taking a post-E3 relaxation journey

Guys, we made it. E3 is done, and we don't have to worry about it again until the Earth completes its next revolution around the Sun. Won't you rejoice with us? We're thinking about just renting out a massive beach condo, posting up in some comfy hammocks, and just 'laxing. Oh, the condo better have some nice Wi-Fi, though. How else are we supposed to, you know, work?

The VG Cats one is dumb. Does the writer not realize that Kinect is the fastest selling game device in history and it has sold almost 11 million units? Microsoft's press conference wasn't a desperate attempt to convince consumers to buy the Kinect.

Yeah, and the "Yo dawg" meme is...well, it needs to go away now.

But apparently the author used to get invited to E3 -- or maybe he still is -- despite not having direct involvement in the industry.

Hey, if I make a mediocre web comic that I only update when I feel like it, will I get invited to E3 too?

@ItsameMatt03 It may sell too fast as you say(and I'm sure thats true), but Microsoft conference was all about why you must buy Kinect.

Is it sad that I'm impressed he put up a comic within 2 months of another one? I'm so used to it being like 4-6 months per comic now. You'd figure for a guy who makes a living doing a webcomic he'd probabally care to update it. However, apparently (like the guy at SNAFU) are always on the road at cons selling stuff. Which I find weird as they both never update.

Somehow the VGCatz one is the least funny but it has the most votes.

I hope that somehow hipsters have ironcially voted for it because if not then there are some serious fanboys voting in these polls. VG and Penny Arcade win almost every time.

I think we should have two web comic wrap ups. Big name comic wrap up and small-med comic wrap up. It's unfair to put penny arcade on here becauseso many people love Penny Arcade, same with VG cats, they'll vote for it even if it's a bad comic.

Also, despite MK9 throwing me into fits of nerd rage with its ridiculous money-grubbing lately...the Outworld Traffic Safety Act thing made me laugh, so it got my vote.

VG Cats one is awful. None of those work at ALL. I don't even know what they're trying to say with the Nintendo one, Sony spent all of 10 minutes talking about the PSN crap and the Kinect sold like crazy.

Is there an official declaration behind closed doors that says there won't be anymore NCV comics?

I haven't seen one in a while. Let's keep it that way.

Seriously, what a shit week. BitF was hands down the best comic and it was only OK.

The VG Cats one clearly was a rush job and was wayyy too dry. Enough immaturity to be considered a troll comic. (and trust me, I laugh at fart jokes) Next time you want to update so you don't loose views, make it the funny we knew. Poop.

I went with Nerf Now, but the Sony Panel of VG Cats looked kind of cool with the anaglyph 3D glasses that I happened to have within arms reach.

Which is why the joke falls flat. OK, it's a music-rhythm-light game and has nothing to do with religion, they thought the name sounded cool. But in reality Child of Eden is a game that wouldn't cause controversy, even with the oh-so-delightful (read: offensive) redneck stereotype dad presented in the comic.

Thus, joke FAILURE.

I thought the VG Cats one was okay just because that's what I really remember about their conferences. I felt that Microsoft kinda left out the normal gamer and was over-pushing Kinect big time.
Anyways, the Mario World strip wins my vote.

Episode 3 will be good. Just wait, you'll see.

I can't believe VG Cats is getting so many votes. I think people just get really excited when Scott updates. I voted Of Noobs And Men personally, but there were a couple other really good entries too. Not a bad Wrapup.

I voted for VG cats just because they put the Sony panel in 3D. Just subtle enough a gag for me to ignore the last panel and earn my vote.

Anybody have 3D glasses to see how it looks?

BitF captures that subtle feeling I've had since I first played Super Mario Land. It always had that weird feeling, even for Mario. Great game though, but I preferred the sequel.

Nerf Now only because it was slightly funny, as the others were okay or worse. Brawl in the Family was a nice throw back. I loved playing Super Mario Land on my Gameboy. It's great more get to play it. :)

by looking at those comics, you would think we had a slow news week. I chose Nerf Now because it was the least boring for me (sorry about the negativity).

I went with Of Noobs and Men this week.

The previous BiTF (the Nintendo E3 wrapup one) was pretty good. Pile of Kirbys at the end was great.

This one was also hilarious! Vote goes to BiTF

AOL should give you guys a bonus for the massive influx of site visits during E3.

It's funny how everyone finds Super Mario Land weird. It was the first mario game I ever played, hence it is perfectly normal to me :^D

I voted for BitF. I might buy Mario Land on VC, since i've had Mario Land 2 forever and i could use a dose of weirdness

I also agree that VGCats seemed very shallow. Hell, they could have made that comic ahead of the shows and gotten those jokes out of it (since we had an inkling that Wii U was going to be like that, and the others were yet more obvious)
