Wasn't there only a limited quantity of this available? How is it not sold out yet? What's wrong with you people?

@sparkster

There probably was, but the website issues were unrelated to any shortage amount, and Nintendo of America having the amazing customer service they always do, its probably just going to print more copies of the CD to make up for all the issues.

*Not Free? This is Nintendo after all. Maybe they're having some pangs of guilt for not making any new games since 1998?

What I don't get is that the games are good and often introduce many new ideas. Who cares who the mascot of the game is. As long as it plays well I will buy it.

I got mine in around 5pm EST yesterday. Logging in took a little longer than usual and those damn surveys took a while to load, but everything else was pretty smooth.

Glad I was able to get it in in time.

I don't get it. They are sending you a disc with just music on it? This won't play on my iPod. Who has discs with just music on it anymore?

@FriedConsole

I have this feeling that a lot of people are using a computer to register to receive this soundtrack.

I also have a feeling that people with iPods use computers to put music on their iPods.

I have one more feeling that you can put a CD in your computer, unless you don't have a CD Rom drive, and rip the music onto your computer. After that, you can move your music to your iPod.

:)

P.P.S. Some people are collectors?

it does seem kind of silly to send this out to everyone, they do direct downloads from club nintendo already (the screensavers) so downloading is possible from the site

i guess the fun part though is that you are getting a collectible cd with some cool art

I was about to be all over this, then I saw you have to have the game. Darn. I've been looking for an Ocarina of Time CD for weeks and don't want to pay $35 for the original on amazon

I bought the game just for the cd, don't even have a 3DS yet. Will prob get one In a few weeks. Prob my favorite Zelda game to date. Glad to hear ill definately get the cd.

Before this game came out I didn't really see anything that made the system worth getting. As much as it sucks shelling out money for nintendo consoles for exclusives I always love their franchises and wind up getting their systems for them.

I went yesterday afternoon and it was sold out everywhere. Brutal.

@Uncle Jesse I hear ya, I called like several stores near me, which ranged from Gamestop to Target and Walmart, none had any left. Then, when I thought all hope was lost, a Best Buy 30mins away had some in stock, and upon getting there, they had TWO copies left.

Amazing that this game sold out EVERYWHERE. I woulda figured some of the bigger stores like Best Buy and Target would have had large amounts of copies of the game since it was sure to sell like hot cakes.

The game, saddly, was a limited print meant to match the ammount of current 3DS users.

Same thing over here. I checked three cities here. Sold out.
Even if this thing's limited in stock, it's still selling insane amounts.
Thankfully I found two last copies (one copy and one display copy). An old man and I both rushed and got the last them before anyone else could.

...by 12pm, no store had any copies left.
This is an insane amount considering that the three cities I'm talking about have at least 6 game stores each (not even including the rental stores that sell new games), 3 superstores (Target, Walmart, etc) each, and a (large) mall for each one.

Or I could wait until a torrent of the disc's contents are available.

Doing limited-time offers like this nowadays just seems silly. Sure, it looks like the disc comes with some bonus artwork, but I'm interested in the orchestrated soundtrack.

Thats why I respect Atlus more than any company out there. They don't restrict. An example, I purchased a special edition DS game with a soundtrack (as they are so kind to include with most of their releases). You say "so what? you can buy any SE from countries outside NA". True, but the CD was defective, and any other company would reply to my email with "tough, you shouldn't have bought a NA game if you are not in NA".

But not good ol'Atlus. They sent a replacment CD registered Airmail right away.

I really wish Capcom goes bankrupt so that Atlus would buy their IPs..

the problem with this is many stores will have a "SE" and a "Standard" and charge more for the "SE". The problem is, like Devil Summoner 2, there is no Special edition to the game. Only one edition. So many stores will remove the special object (CD, Plushie, etc) and charge standard price for what's not the standard edition. Strange Journey had now SE, so you know.

Real quick

Article about Nintendo offering OST, but the offer is only to NA residents. Atlus love all.

Capcom have great IPs, but they are nickle n diming everyone...I know I know, for "profit", not a "charity". But my point is Atlus is known fot their fan service. Thats why I hope Atlus buy Capcom one day.

@Trilancer I agree here. Atlus gives away CD's left and right but somehow Nintendo can't. Maybe they can't test out the CD's since the Wii and Wii U can't even play CD's.?

I bought the game just for the soundtrack offer. I don't even have a 3DS, nor do I have any intention of buying one. I put the game up for sale on Amazon as soon as I entered the code.

If only there was some other way to play this game that didn't require a $250 portable system… Oh wait, there are several way to exactly that, none of which require a rechargeable battery.

I'm glad it's on a CD too, because lossless quality music is amazing. I might even sell the CD at some point too, making this whole experience actually profitable.

Stay on hold, I called back to confirm the same thing. Apparently there's also browser issues. I confimed my Club Nintendo account and that the CSR saw that the game was registered but I just didn't get the second screen. So I assume this was browser related. I use Chrome, so make sure you call in today to verify and don't just assume "if you registered it, you will get one" because the CSR made it seem like I wasn't going to get one.

Well that sucks for me cause I pre ordered mine over a month ago. Still hasn't arrived yet. Not to mention that I just bought my 3DS last Monday that had sound issues and had to return it after I'd put $10 on the e shop(which is non refundable or transferable). The second one I received has a problem with the 3D screen(keeps flickering and has a dead pixel), after I'd put $20 in the e shop. So now I have to wait for Nintendo to fix my system. Nintendo is really dropping the ball on the newer systems since the Wii came out. I had to send that thing in for repairs about a month after I bought that as well. Get your shit together Nintendo or else I'm just going to switch over to Microsoft.

And er... what does all the rest have to do with your preorder of Ocarina of Time 3D? Heck, my 3DS is in the repair shop as well - doesn't mean I couldn't register the game without the 3DS (which I just did and got my copy).

...how about blaming the people who you preordered from too?
