Anxious to get your first glimpse at Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD? Well, here's your chance -- just try not to be too harsh on the person Konami has playing the game. We're not sure this individual gets the whole "stealth" thing.

Okay, that's possibly the worst attempt at MGS I've ever seen.

Why watch it? Why don't they upload the demo to PSN? I HATE that they dont give us the e3 demos.
PSP had the ability to play downloaded games at launch, it took ages for it to get demos

Any word if there will be online co-op with this version of Peace Walker? Always wanted to try it on PSP but never could find anyone with a copy of the game.

Huh? Its a simple upscale of the original game for PSN. I'm sure at some point it will be on Vita (logically) but it wasn't specifically made for Vita, so I don't know what exactly you were expecting :/

I swear it looks like he got shot in the balls. Also, Snake looks weird when he runs...almost like he has arthritis in his legs or something.

Not much they can do but update the visuals for consoles. The whole point Peace Walker is in the MGS Collection is to play on the big screen and take the save with you on your PSP (or Vita, eventually via backwards compatibility) when traveling. It still the same PSP game at its heart, but HD.

What some of you are dismissing as an ugly, ackward MGS game, I'd call the simplest, best story narrative in a MGS game to date. Plus it controlled beautifully even on my PSP.
Seriously, there's no twins, gay vampires, or men shooting lightning out their asses.

@Aperture ... yeah... There's also a talking cat and monsters, but those missions were gitched in my copy.
Still, I enjoy the "romance" of science fiction technology in a 70's era setting. It's a game that embraced cold war tension and the arms race by including above intelligent geniuses. I truely enjoyed fighting mechs in a "Metal Gear" game more so than supernatural humans (with nanomachines).
And I would say the rocket hand was completely plausible even though it was also a lighter. It only had to fire once.

MGS3 was still better for story. Peace Walker was fun, but I still haven't finished it yet (it doesn't seem to have picked up much of an improvement visually, but is now probably polished enough to play on a 50" and not get depressed).
I'm glad that people who don't have PSP are finally going to have a chance to play this, it should be loads better instead of having to rely on the PSP's oversensitive nub for movement.

A good friend of mine is looking forward to getting the HD Metal Gear Collection :) I certainly don't mine buying Snake Eater again (I still own Subsistance) because it's got an engaging story. But man, the ending.... Peace Walker's ending was..... wow.

If they're changing the controls to let us aim with the joystick, they damn well better let us use cover again as well. I don't want this to be another half assed port that some recent "HD remakes" have been made.

You can tell the person who was playing was unfamiliar with the definition of the word "stealth". Where did they find that clown, seriously?
