I can see how this all started.

"Let's re-release the same SKU. BUT! Let's change the label to say "Now with DLC" (read fine print)

*********DLC not included"

Then the ghosts of videogames' Past, Present, and Future made a visit, and Activision found the true meaning of gaming.

"It's not just about gaming. It's also about the $60 price tag. Let's throw in the DLC!"

....and the children danced.

That's not bad considering that regular Black Ops is still $59.99 at GameStop.

i think this is fair, might bring in more players who were turned off by having to pay the extra $30 on dlc. Considering that this game still goes for $60

Not only is it overpriced, it's really overpriced since alot of the maps are terrible.

Treyarch needs to find a different subcontractor for these map packs.

No but seriously thanks for accepting my tip.

OT: I might have a reason to re-buy Black ops now that it comes with $45 worth of used content.

In all fairness, the versions adding dlc on at a later date for cheap or no extra cost has been common for a while. When I finally got Forza 3 it came with everything on the disc. I don't know how they could show gratitude to early purchasers beyond lowering the initial prices.

Oh the DLC is so brutal on cost. I've only got one of the packs so far, but for this next one I'm going to allow myself to be taken to the bank again I think. It just seems a bit high for map packs.

How much money would they make it they made a multiplayer level where instead of zombies, Bobby Kotick clones attacked you? Once they were all defeated, Mecha Bobby Kotick would have to be destroyed. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Oh no, Activision! Don't bundle $45 worth of DLC with a game that is $55 used! As a matter of fact, stop releasing OPTIONAL DLC as a whole, because it's not like it provides replay value to those who own Black Ops, you EVIL corporation, you!

/end sarcasm. :)

lol at the people defending cod. Just because it cost $45 dollars doesn't mean its worth $45. You could get Black ops for about $30 used so its not that big of a deal, but still pretty good.

my biggest gripe with games like this, is they never add new guns. i wish they would just drop all the WaW guns into zombies and multiplayer

@Roxas560 Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't added new anything in terms of weapons for these map packs.

Probably b/c the community would cry foul and say any additions would unbalance the game (insofar as the ppl who weren't buying the DLC at the time are concerned).

This is the funny part: They are going to end up reselling Black Ops 3 times then.

First the normal SKU.
Then this one with 1 DLC.
Then ALL of the way down the road, the game with ALL of the DLC.

Activision = Raping the cow.

I wish that they would sell the zombie maps separate from the multiplayer maps, because that's all that I care about. I know that this is completely unrealistic, though. Of course they want to force you to pay $15 for the zombie map by bundling it with the other maps, giving the appearance of "value." It's almost like a... a... IT'S A TRAP!!!

Imagine if they released the WaW maps. That would be, what, $75?

Best Buy has it listed as well in their store. If you go to their pre-order touch screen and type in Black Ops, the Limited Edition shows up coming out the same day, box art saying it comes with First Strike.
