One thing I haven't heard about in all the latest previews is if she still talks about shoes and leaving the toilet seat up, or if it's back to gibberish. I recall a lot of people disappointed over the lack of gibberish

Really? I find the coherent talking hilarious. Especially with the random one liners from 70s-90s songs and movies the game kept reminding me of during beta.

I lost it when Ms. Splosion Man started singing "Where have all the cowboys gooooonnnneeee!"

I played the beta last night and I definitely heard a lot of gibberish. There was also some shoe talk, though.

@Crayola Q Pants ESQ

i saw that in the early previews for this game, but then was hoping when I tried the beta that the quotes from old annoying songs and the talk about shoes would be gone.... I was mistaken.

i realize the developers at twisted pixel (which i'm a huge fan of) thought they'd go the ms. pac-man route with ms. splosion man, but the thing is, I never saw splosion man as a "Man". He ate cake, he said ridiculous things, but he never sang kanye west songs or talked about beer and farts or whatever the male-equivalent stereotype is for women and shoes.

ms. pac-man didn't talk. ms. splosion man does. it should be known the higher the pitch of the voice, the more grating it is. that's not a knock on women, that's fact. there is a "sweet spot" for what sounds appealing for the vast majority of both men and women, and often lower-pitched voices for women are considered more appealing (i know this because this was part of my studies). after the beta, if i hear "whip my hair back and forth" one more time i'll punch somebody. maybe others like that song, but the aspect of putting song quotes in the game immediately alienates people who don't like the song (like me).

i'm not a fan of putting games on silent when I play them, because the audio is just as important as the visual imo, so while I loved Splosion Man, Comic Jumper (despite some people's negative views, I loved the humor), and the Maw, I won't be getting this poor excuse for a game. The gameplay is great, but the audio kills it for me. this game is sadly not for me.

@ravissimo OR you could mute the game audio, put on some awesome songs that doesn't include whipping hair and play the gameplay for what it should've been: A splode-tastic sequel that stayed away from stereotyping women everywhere.

Cannot wait! 'Splosion Man's implementation of co-op is among the best I've played, I hope this ups the ante requiring even more player coordination.

@Epoque - It definitely does. I haven't played any multiplayer in the beta because I don't have any friends playing it but the video demo that they showed off during their panel at PAX East definitely had moments that required extreme coordination, far beyond the original.

Cupcake!!!

*Full disclaimer: I don't really know if the Cake! is now a Cupcake!, or if any baked goods will even be hidden in the levels. Though I sincerely hope they are, and I think cupcakes would be pretty cute...

@JonahStein - The hidden item seems to be a pair of shoes. I've found a couple of them. I'm assuming that's what is replacing the birthday cakes.

You find pairs of shoes instead of cake.

I apologize for my ignorance, but I've never tried the franchise... anyone want to describe it or compare it to something else?

@Truant - It's a side scrolling, platformer/puzzle game. I'd recommend at least giving the trial a go, either of the original or of the new one when it comes out.

It's like one quarter of awesome mixed with half a bottle of awesome sauce topped with some awesome sprinkles and all whipped together in an awesome blender.

That's the best I can do.

I don't see why they didn't make this game and Half-Minute Hero part of Summer of Arcade. People seem to be more interested in those two than most of the games they did include.

@Urchin80

That puzzled me too. Wasn't the first one of the best selling games on XBLA?

Maybe they figured it didn't need the promotion.

Definitely want to get this, I didn't like Splosion Man at first but it grew on me. Just probably won't have the money to get this day one.
