Bungie gives out blue flaming helmets in Halo: Reach

You know, when we think about heads on fire, we don't think about Bungie's illustrious flaming helmets in Halo. It's because we could never have one; we're not Bungie employees. Now we all can enjoy the loss of tactical advantage that only comes from having a head on fire!

Bungie's giving the flaming helmets in Halo: Reach (plus a special name plate) to anyone who registers on Bungie.net or through the recently released iOS app -- you have until "the close of Bungie Day" on July 7 to get yours. Oh, and if you're wondering about Bungie Aerospace, keep wondering: Bungie's still not talking.

Oh, cool. Didn't realise you could do it online too, thought it was just through the iOS app which I don't have access to.

@Ample Salty You were right! It actually was just the iOS app until today - they're giving them out as part of the build-up to Bungie day.

That's cool lol. So do I just re-do register or how do I download it if I'm already registered on bungie.net

@skbkoy65 theres an applet on the main page of bungie.net that says burn bright. burn blue. that's where you get it if you are already registered. just have to provide email and birth date.

@skbkoy65...If you already have a profile on Bungie.net theres already a link where you can submit your info for the helmet. It dosn't specify though if they want the email thats directly connected to your gamertag, or the email account you started a Bungie.net profile with (if they're different)

I'm gonna have to agree with Marshillboy cause I just don't get it either. I watched about 3 seasons of it, and it just didn't stick or something. However, I do love me some Drunk Tank and AH, so some good came out of it and I've put at least 2,000 hours into the halos. I don't know what it is but me and RvB just never clicked. I'm sorry bring on the downvotes

@Liquidfingers no I just wanted to give it a fair chance so I stuck with it. Do you quit watching a show after the first episode if you didn't like it? and in Red vs Blue's case that's only 3 min or so.

Can someone help me out, I'm confused... I signed into Bungie.net, clicked on Burn Bright, Burn Blue and don't see anything I can click on to get the flaming helmet. All I see is the text that Joystiq reproduced.

@Prboi Wouldn't say that. Everyone has their own definition of, "hipster." I hear people call people who own iPods hipsters, which is what you need to get the blue flaming helmet. I don't own an iPod, so I'm a hipster for playing Reach without the blue flame? I don't think so.

oh they won't screw it up since they're never the ones developing it. activision will just take what bungie has made (because it will sell millions) and then get infinity ward or someone to release a new one every other year, year after year after year until people realize that they don't want to play it anymore....just like some of their other franchises that they have run into the ground. way to go milkyvision.

I clicked on the Burn Bright, Bright Blue, and it says I got it, but where do I receive it? When I log in in-game?

halo is obviously not done yet since they just announced the fourth one. not to mention the combat evolved anniversary, which looks to be the best hd remake on any console so far.

You don't need Android to get blue flames. iOS users got it earlier, that's it. Everyone can get the flames now. Follow the source link.
