Apparently you'll be extending the pile of bodies across Africa, Asia and "mysterious bases" (okay, stop it) in said search, but the folks at Codies won't speak up until an upcoming community Q&A. You can participate in that over at the US PlayStation Blog.
Bodycount bringing an arsenal to consoles this August
21
Bodycount may have missed its intended "early 2011" release window, but it seems that Codemasters wasn't far off. Today the publisher announced an August launch for the title and gave us a new peek into the game's 'splosion-packed action. As you'll see in the clip after the break, Bodycount is clearly about employing a variety of weapons as often as possible, all the while chasing an elusive enemy known as "The Target." (Seriously.)

This is the first I'm hearing of this game and yet I feel like I've seen it a thousand times before.

I'm telling you...the ultimate deterrent to all this is if law enforcement threatens to cut their balls off if the hackers are ever caught and indicted on this offense.

It's still not enough like Black for me. It's too futuristic. I mean it's interesting to mix Tron with Rambo-like weapons, but I just want the weapons and stereotypical Russian bad guys.

I hope it has a long campaign mode. This looks like a day one purchase.

I'm liking the varied environments, and that sci-fi Tronish area looks really cool. I wish this was coming out on PC though. I like my FPS' more with a KB+M, plus I can't help but feel that the extra PC power could improve those physics. That big dude walking through the wall and the shattered pieces disappearing kind of bothered me...

I really hate the 'aiming', it just basically zooms in a little bit, like the shotguns in Battlefield.

This is coming out for PC now? Thought it was 360/PS3 only before.

@einhanderkiller
At the end of the video it only lists the 360 and PS3. I looked on wikipedia and it also only said 360 and PS3. Maybe just a mistake by Joystiq.

I think naming the bad guy "the target" is pretty worthy of any bashing it gets... Seriously, a 6 year old could think of a name like that. THAT'S NOT EVEN A NAME!

Hmm, this actually looks pretty nifty. The E3 demo didn't look very exciting so this has me interested again.
