I still don't get the core mechanic. Is it just an elaborate hot seat or can people pillage your city while you're asleep?

@Crazy Nut BE

No. It operates on the core Facebook mechanic of making sure you open the game every two hours.

Played the Beta for a few days then finally just removed the application. What a mess of a game.

Of course it's a mess, it's a beta. Every beta I've ever been in besides Minecraft has been a mess, and I've been in a lot.

Judge the game once it's out. It's possible it'll be trash then, but it's also possible it'll be much better.

I meant it's a mess through-and-through. They'd basically have to make an entirely new game to rekindle my interest.

From all the beta's I've played, the main reason the game even goes in to beta stage is because it's close to being finished and the developers want the mass QA from it's fan base. What they do with all that information gathered is beyond me, because I almost never see any major differences between a beta and retail version of a game.

Sure there are exceptions, but most of those are the games that completely A) Didn't work at all and had to be delayed/whatevered to be properly fixed, or B) Were completely trashed by everyone that played it, and had to be delayed/whatevered to be properly fixed (Dark Sector and Borderlands spring to mind).

I'm in the beta and really like it. It isn't as engrossing as Civ or Civ Rev, but it is quite well done for a Fb game. I don't see myself buying into Civ Bucks, but there's more than enough to keep my occupied while on Fb.

Well, gotta go (battle coming up in 30 minutes).

Well, I won't be playing it.

If only it wasn't a Failbook game.

I thought it was garbage. Basically a Farmville style clone, extremely unintuitive tutorials (seriously, you get a quest explaining how to spam your friend's wall before one on combat) and nothing good related to Civ.

I'd call this a pass, pals.
