Should have chosen 3DD's song Down Poison just to tie them together.

I'd have been all over those Poison songs a couple of years ago for sure, but I live too close to a 7 day karaoke bar to get jazzed about any cock rock singles at this point. Can't fuss too much since I saw a Steel Train and a Walkmen song on RBN when I was going through their list this morning, so it looks like I'll be buying something off there after all.

Glad to see more 3DD, hope they eventually add "Be Like That" would be fun in Pro mode. Poison is gonna be a buy as well.

I approve of this list just because it doesn't have Hipster Rock.

Yeah Rock Band has been going for more classics these days on DLC despite include lots of Hipster Rock on the discs. I guess they looked at what is selling and nobody wants to play along to Hipster Rock. I guess 80's style synth and xylophones aren't much fun to play along with.

Do you even know what "hipster" rock is? There's been maybe 5 bands that would qualify as "hipster" to ever make it into RB's set list.

Point remains though, that Rock Band has been doing a MUCH better job in the last year or so getting classic tracks that people actually WANT, instead of music that producers want to promote. Or just new stuff cause it's new. Or the worst of everything, bad live songs, covers, and re-recordings.

They should have both. Just because you or I may not like new music doesn't mean people who like new music should be left in the dust. I hate Maroon 5, so all I did was ignore the DLC. Let the Maroon 5 fans enjoy their tracks.

Signs of a Hipster Band:

1) Either there are 2 people in the band or there are more than 6 people in the band.

2) Some kind of weird instruments. Ukelele, xylophones, auto-harp. You know crap 3rd grade music teachers use.

3) Some guy with beard and thick glasses.

4) Some chick with bangs in her hair and looks like Zooey Deschanel. (Or the band actually has Zooey Deschanel in it)

5) Music is used in some insufferable pretentious indie movie trailer.

6) They play "live" it to a pre-recorded track and just press some keyboard presses randomly. A Mac computer is a member of the band.

7) The band dresses like they are in a Wes Anderson film.

Though I like many of these so-called "hipster" groups, I have to admit that was funny and largely true. But man... don't be hatin' too hard. Especially on weird instruments. Those bring the fun :p

I'm definitely not a Poison fan...but for some reason I'm really excited about playing these tracks. Rock Band is funny that way. Now bring on some more Def Leppard so we can get this 80s party started!

I agree. Not every band has a perfect catalog. I guess you could say every rose has it's thorn.
