Target offering $100 gift card with purchase of Xbox Kinect bundle this weekend

Target is offering up a pretty solid deal on an Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, if you need one for the garage (you know, the one place in your house where you actually have enough room for the thing to work). For this weekend only, you can get the standard Kinect setup for $299, and the Targe will throw in a $100 gift card as a bonus.

Unfortunately, that bundle only includes 4GB of memory, so you might have to pay out for an upgrade if you want to download a lot of XBLA titles. But perhaps that extra Benjamin you'll have picked up can help with that.

First it was Amazon just a few days ago, now it is Target and also Toys 'r Us that are having the exact same sale this weekend, though TRU's ends on Saturday.

@ValenciaJoe - Best Buy was doling them out in the same fashion; 4 GB Kinect bundle nets you a $100 gift card. Today's the last day, though.

They must know that PS3 price drop is coming.

If you get the 4 GB you can use USB thumb sticks as storage devices for downloadable games/etc

Either a PS3 price drop or....dare I say it....a new system from Microsoft really is in the works....

I'm sure both Sony and Microsoft have had a new system in the works for years already. I wouldn't be surprised if they've been working on them since a week before the 360 and PS3 release.

Whenever you return something to a store that got a giftcard they indeed take the difference away, only giving you back $199 for the system in this example. These stores have had a decade of experience with these things so rest assured millions of people have already tried that.

Though I image the people working the returns gets a kick every week when someone things they're being clever by doing this.

I just bought this at Bestbuy.com they are running the same promotion. Now I have a spare 360.

Has anyone actually gotten this to work at Target? I just tried at a store in West Chester, OH and it didn't ring up with the gift card.

If you look at the Press release, the dates are actually Sunday and Monday, not Saturday and Sunday. Went to a Target and then asked and no, no deal. Brother in law looked it up for me and clarified.
