While they're at it, can they let let Netflix / Hulu show up on Quick Launch?

Please?

PLEASE?

@onan They both are. Look under "All"

@Pollockroc I just timed it. It took 46 seconds for my "All" list to populate, and 55 before I could scroll down to Netflix. That's roughly 85 times longer than it would take to get over the the video tab, even from within a game exiting to dashboard. backing out of that menu and going into it again re-checks the list again, so it doesn't cache the list at all. That's hardly what I'd call "quick".

and in case you're wondering why it took so long, I've got a drive with 182 games, demos, and indie titles on it. Telling me to delete everything so it's faster isn't a valid option. It's an application, it should show up in the "recently played" quick launch list, especially since it's most people's #1 used application, possibly after CoD or something.

Wow, the Today Show, the number 1 show you need to make available to the video game playing demographic as soon as possible.

Well done, NBC, well done.

It should also be noted that NBC videos used to always freeze halfway through. Which made no sense at all considering they were streaming at half screen in a box.

Now they are streaming at full screen and they do not freeze halfway through. So nice job. It is about flipping time for the love of god.

@(Unverified) No, I've had that problem, too. No matter where I took my box, it seemed like most of the time the videos would freeze half-way.

@(Unverified) No it most surely is not. Not when Hulu and Netflix on my 360 do not stutter or freeze. Not when the other videos on Inside Xbox, or the Zune Marketplace do not stutter of freeze.

I may well have crappy internet (I do) but it is not the connection, it was the horrible streaming they had for NBC videos. Which seems like it has been completely solved now, which is great.

@Meancode I always had the same issue with frozen videos despite streaming the NBA playoffs in HD., and about time that they use the full screen.

@Chichok Good for you, here's a cookie. I use and enjoy the feature, so go find an article that's relevant to your interests then instead of trolling things just cause you can.

What I find amusing is how everyone is starting to describe everything that doesn't agree with them as "trolling". Trolling is doing something to get a reaction. I'm just stating my feelings on the matter.

I don't like the feature. I'm entitled to say that. The rest of you who like it fine. But it baffles me when I already pointed out that you're already paying for internet and the ability to watch the news is already on your PC.

When I'm paying for Live I want to pay for online gaming, none of this extra bullshit.

@Chichok It is quite simple, actually. It is called convenience. And it is a nice feature to have. The new expanded stuff is even better.

Don't get me wrong, I totally get the convenience part. The part i don't agree with is you're paying for it if you pay for Live.

@Chichok actually I'm paying for Live and getting bonus things...it's not like they suddenly drop the amount of time you can play online because they need to cap streaming so they can add news. I'm glad that they are adding more entertainment options to the overall service, makes the money paid a better value.

I use this feature quite a bit since I don't have regular channels or cable (waste of money with Hulu and Netflix IMO) - I will have to check this out since I watch all of the sections if they interest me. Nice.

Had no idea.... Microsoft has to do a better job or making these announcements more public or promote them as coming soon. I think it's great that content like Hulu and NBC are trickling out over time (vs all at once, once a year), but it's almost like they don't want anyone to know about em until after they're available.
