Kenshi slices into Mortal Kombat July 5
48
If there's one thing Mortal Kombat has been missing, it's a blind swordsman that uses ghosts to murder people. Thankfully, series-semi-veteran Kenshi will be arriving July 5 to fill that void in our violent little hearts. Check out his ultra-bloody debut trailer after the jump.

Cannot wait his combos looked so sweet and the finishing moves look awesome. I could really see him in his own game if they do it right.

Kenshi I would love to have you in my line up but at $5 there is no way that's happening.

@(Unverified) 1. I bought it for the PS3 2. Even if I did get it for the 360 all I want is Kenshi and Rain which in turn is $10, $5 more than what it should cost.

@Cleric Lets do the math braniac. 27 * 5 = 135
So by your logic the game characters alone included on the disc is worth $135, or we could $60/27= $2.22 per character
There's a sucker born every minute just willing to give away money.

@Risaza Lets see wait for it to come out on Games on Demand for $60 or buy it at the store or online for $40? Some how I don't see the logic in your statement.

@GlockXIII And people wonder why there are $15 map packs, $10 online passes, $5 characters, $60 for XBL, etc.
What ever happened to the smart consumer that realized the messages their purchases sent to companies?

You don't understand that if people don't spend money, companies can't pay their workers. Then the companies die out because they don't make profit. No more video games. That's how an economy works. Hmm, I'm fairly certain kids were taught this stuff in school. Also, you are a Apple guy, judging by your profile picture. Those are overpriced computers. Why not build your own and save money? Cut out coupons from the news papers to save money. Stop eating out at restaurants. Eat only Ramen noodles. Stop buying cigarettes and booze. Ride your bike instead of driving. Flush once after two pisses. Only play video games for an hour. Cancel Xbox live. Cancel your internet. Or maybe you could just stop playing video games since it's such an expensive hobby.

Well, sometimes you just gotta put up with the smell of piss when it comes to saving money for this extremely expensive DLC. And remember, I am not being sarcastic.

Much more awesome than Skarlet. Damn!

@Once known as Shadsy
I'm really liking Skarlet. Red dash is great for getting in and being aggressive, her teleport is ridiculously fast, and being able to delay her second dagger makes her zoning fairly unpredictable. The only thing I don't really like about her is the blood ball, but that's just because I'm awful at pulling it off.

Mortal Kombat is awesome but we can't pick the retro costumes without the match desynchronizing. had reptile mk1 prior to the classic skins DLC now i can't even pick it online just offline. i've tweeted to Netherrealms & Noobde but they just ignore it :-/ besides those problems, excellent game.

who really cries over 5 bucks, don't eat lunch for a day and you will have enough to get this, can't believe how this can break the bank for some people
Posted: Jun 28th 2011 8:12AM HuitZiloP said
@adr916 This doesn't break the bank for anybody. The problem is the game ends up costing $75 at best if you buy every the DLC, which considering how much of a bunch of assholes NRS have been, it's not worth paying the extra money. They didn't fix online play, but when someone complaints about giving them more money, assholes like you start to flame them. NRS does not deserve a single penny. Not anymore.

5 dollars is a lot for a new character with completely different move set? Oh right.. Your icon says a lot about you."
No, it says a lot about YOU. It says that you don't know the value of money, that you probably don't pay for things yourself, that you are complicit in your own exploitation by greedy business and you won't even stand up for yourself.

@Dick Socrates Lol broke ass gamers can't afford five dollars. I'm sure if you boycott dlc they'll stop making it entirely. Everything will be on the disc! TAKE A STAND GUYS WE CAN CHANGE THE INDUSTRY! Not really.. for every one of you cheap basement dwellers there are ten people with jobs that will gladly pay for more of the game they like. Besides you can get the game for forty dollars. Meaning you can also get most of the dlc for LESS then a full price game.

but they aren't knocking on your door forcing you to give them money are they? everything is completely optional, no one ever said you had to buy all of them in a package, you dont see people who love call of duty and there map packs crying over how much it cost, because they feel that the content is worth the money, same here if you know you will enjoy get it if not dont.

When you purchase the boxed game at $60.00, the company is making no secret about what is contained in that box. If you feel like you're getting ripped off, you won't buy it. But it's up to them to prove to you, the consumer that the product is worth it. So you're getting so many characters, maps, and modes to make that initial investment.
The DLC model improves that experience and is completely optional. The value of that content cannot be deciphered by some flimsy math which divides the number of characters by the amount paid. The value of the content is decided by what people (fans) are willing to pay for it. The same reason people will pay $20-$30 to get a concert t-shirt.

@Gnomicidal When I purchased the boxed CE game for $99, the company kept the crappy online play as a secret. I had no way of knowing I was getting so ripped off.
By defending this bunch of thieves, assholes like you and @adr916 ensure this kind of shit keeps happening.

All I know is that they better fix this damn game before I buy any more DLC. The Klassic costumes pack is really the biggest problem... If you have it and your opponent doesn't, you're screwed as far as connection goes. Can't even pick ANY different costumes, not to mention Kratos doesn't even show up on the select screen.
With Skarlet, you can use her only if your opponent has the compatibility pack (or the DLC itself).
My question is... why the hell would they allow so many different variations of the game to play together? As far as I'm concerned, *ALL* of the DLC should be accompanied by *MANDATORY* patches. You know, kinda like how *MOST* games won't let you play online unless you update to the latest version? Why on Earth wouldn't they do that for this game?!?! If I download new characters/costumes, I don't give a rat's ass whether or not someone else did... I paid the money for them, so I damn well better be able to use them anyway!

gawdd its unbelievable how many cheap ass people there are in the gaming community, ppl complaining about DLC for a game they dont even have, ppl complaining about prices on DLC etc. I am sooo glad i have an awesome job so that i can always not have to worry about getting DLC for the games i play, but i guess too many ppl are losers and cant afford a measly 15 bucks for a map pack, etc. etc.; i mean u ppl do realize its all optional right? If u dont want it or are to cheap, ok good, but we dont want to keep hearing about it. Some ppl need to grow up and get a job then all ur worries and queries will be irrelevant

@HuitZiloP first of all dueche stop trolling posts with incoherent dumb ass responses; and second stop being cheap and naive; there's nothing wrong with the game, actually its one of the best manufactured fighting games in a LONG time and just because YOU cant afford a few bucks to support an awesome game doesn't mean others cant, so stop trolling and know your stuff before you speak :)
