That would hands down be the best way for Nintendo to guarantee I wouldn't have anything to do with the Wii U.....

They might be able to skate by with pulling another twilight princess.... but they pull a "Only for the Wii U" and they can kiss my customer loyalty goodby.

I stopped being brand loyal to Nintendo after they refused to bring Mother 3 over. I'm quite glad that I chose well, as it seems they're pulling the sam stunts as Namdai, another company I no longer buy from.

@Scuffles

You are either going to have to hack your console to get around the region locking or you are going to need to buy a European Wii.

That or wait for the chance for NOA to pick the game up, but I wouldn't bet on that.

@DJ Kenneth A

Pffft The reason the Wii isn't printing money is because cool games like this have been placed on the back burner for years and instead we have gotten shovelware....

And the company line about how the Wii is under preforming and as such its not worth investing money to ensure a steady flow of MUST BUY games. Which is why it is under preforming,

I giggled.

Aren't there any ESL (English second language) actors available for some of these games?

It's sad that most Wii RPGs look so damn dry. Like the desert wind already conquered them.

I wouldn't go as far as say pirating .....

but modding my Wii and importing legal copies to play .... that just might be in the cards If I am not given the option to buy them in the US.

To be honest the only thing that has kept me from Modding my consoles to date is that
A) I'm Lazy
B) There has really been no compelling reason to.

Please NOA let me remain Lazy, Continue to give me no reason to Mod my console and accept my money ..... Also you get the added bonus of sending the Wii out with a bang instead of a whimper, which will provide you with a decent amount of goodwill throughout your (at present) loyal fanbase.

No, I agree.

Nintendo of America... your call. Localize these, and get my money. Don't, and I'll still play it in English anyway by pirating the European release.

Just like I did with Last Window (Hotel Dusk 2), Another Code R (Trace Memory 2), Soma Bringer and Disaster: Day of Crisis.

NoA, the ball is in your court.

By "bad voice-acting accents" do you mean characters with localized accents that don't fit the character?

Or are you under the impression that the game isn't completely European English?

I don't understand why they can't simply SUBTITLE it. I can read english. There's no need to make the stinking thing with cheap voice-actors for the US. Just give us subtitles. That way the people that DO want it will be able to buy it and not be screwed over with another copy of "Redneck Games."

Geez, complain, complain , complain. If we get the game after all this, the last thing I'll be thinking about is the voice acting. How about gameplay huh? How about amazing gameplay with average voice acting?

This is why we can't have nice things. Hmph!

I'm happy for our Europeans brothers and sisters though, they're getting some love. I hope Nintendo does the right thing.

Due to things like this, I don't even hear Reggie speak any more; he sounds like one of the adults from Charlie Brown. "Nintendo is planning on winning over core gamers" can pretty much be translated as "Nintendo is looking to dominate this PR event by making everyone happy".

It's an endless cycle that functions perfectly. By the time disappointment reaches its height, there's new hardware, new promises and a new dangling carrot.

To be honest the Americans should just stop crying already and import the game if they want it so badly. Europe had to deal with sort of crap for decades.

Europe never got Xenogears. Not even on PSN today because apparently its too much trouble to make a PAL disk image and get the game rated for europe.
Not to mention the only Xenosaga we ever got was part 2.

Don't worry, you won't have any trouble. The games are linked to your Wii account. Your Wii account sends data to your Wii, but it can't take data FROM the Wii. You'll be fine.

Games you install via the homebrew channel don't count of course.

I would be totally OK with them just bringing this over to America, Britishness and all. It lends a certain exotic flair to the game. That was certainly not the intent in its native land, but that's not to say it couldn't be a bonus in another one.
