In that case, you're in luck: Ken Levine says the entire 15-minute demo will be shown on Spike TV on July 7. Even before that, you can watch the full first two minutes of the award-winning demo above. Keep an eye out for our favorite part: "golden" American presidential statues that Booker dismisses with a certain monarchical reference. History! Metaphor! Meaning! No wonder this game's so impressive.

You've surely already read about what we saw during the E3 demo of BioShock Infinite, from the sky-lines to Elizabeth's tearing ability and all of the other quirks of the floating city of Columbia. But perhaps that's not enough for you. Perhaps you want to pick over the experience yourself, looking for succulent secrets and tasty hints that we game press types may have somehow missed.

Oh, just the video? Meh, I got my hopes up and thought we'd get to download the real demo.

Read the first part of the title and thought it'd be an actual demo and almost missed the part where it said it was a video. Oh well, still cool.

Why do developers hold out on demos these days? Why do we all have to jump through hoops for demos sometimes a'la Resistance 3? It can't be that hard to just get this thing up on PSN or XBL when they apparently were able to get a whole damn show together for one 14 minute demo...

I really like the dynamic between the characters already. I'm excited to see more - and that's coming from someone who thought Bioshock did nothing particularly well (save for the revelations leading up to and including the infamous cutscene at the beginning of the third act).

I love it. I actually like the fact that she has this massive amount of power, yet has this playful / curious attitude. It means that it won't feel like a massive escort quest throughout the game.
I love the interaction in the demo, looks gorgeous and the characters feel natural. Can't wait to see the rest.

Im not going to watch anymore Infinite vids. After i saw the first trailer, i knew i was getting it, and now im afraid that a lot of the awe will be taken away if i keep watching vids of it.

Glad to see what will probably be a amazing addition to the Bioshock canon. B2 just didn't feel like a Bioshock game, though that may be due to the fact that it kinda sucked. Best FPS ever made alongside the Half-Life series, System Shock and all of Valve's games. Those all rock.

Totally looking forward to this game- and I loved the first and liked-a-lot the second...
But, I'm not sure this is really supposed to fit into the Bioshock "canon", per se. Or at least, we haven't really been told it links to Rapture at all.
On a tangent- It's kind of interesting how everybody jumped up the butt of Prey 2, when it was announced as a completely different game from the first, but using the same name. But, with Bioshock-Infinite, you don't really hear that much dissent.

Random thought: I wonder how effective these Mature Video filters are.
Video:
"Warning this Video is Mature"
"Please enter your birth date"
Nine Year old:
"Let's see, Today's Thursday so that means I need to put:
...
January 1, 1912. Does that make me old enough?"

Yeah, me too.
I'm just too damn lazy to click through the lists of days/months/years. Still a pain in the ass, that you can't use the mouse wheel here to scroll quickly. Some other sites do that.
On the other hand...I just finished a complicated scientific paper with 20 pages and lots of self-made sketches/graphs today.
...
Still not the slightest urge to do this age stuff. Interesting.

I lie as well, but only because it's quicker to just choose a random year.
BTW, this game looks more and more fantastic. The one thing I hope would remain is the amount of atmospheric personality to the gaming world and it appears that they have even outdone themselves with Columbia.

If parents enter an age restricted content on the profile of a minor, the option to enter in a birth date does not even appear. The age gate basically tells the browser not to let the content through for the age restricted user.
Because you can enter in a birth date means that your browser is unrestricted. Change your settings for your profile or for the browser itself and then reload the page.

Infinite should speak for itself it shouldn't need these lame PR bread crumbs and announcements of announcements. This might be fine for causal fans but as enthusiast' m sick of having to follow a game for 2-3 years.

@Gmail Calendar Rep I am EXTREMELY excited for Infinite, so this is tough to say, but this may be pushing the marketing drip-feed a bit far. Somewhere between the 7th "concept interview" and this teaser trailer for a gameplay demo, which is getting it's own TV Special, we have to admit that the machinery of games marketing hype (even and especially highly anticipated follow-ups to well loved games like Bioshock) is a little silly.

I'm sorry, but I'm just not seeing what the hype is all about. A couple of scripted animations reacted to upon sight of the character (been done) and a few overdone US references coupled with nothing really happening doesn't really entice me.
Maybe I'm just a bit cynical after all the overdone Bioshock 2 hype (when it was pretty tiresome).
Bring back System Shock - it had a truly scary villain!

The fact that the pistol is the Red-9 from Resident Evil 4 makes me like this game that much more :D Or the Mauser Pistol from Red Dead Redemption, if you prefer.
