In a press release from developer Flying Wild Hog this morning, a still-untitled PC shooter from was revealed as the studio's first game (seen above). A couple of character drawings on the developer's main site also show a pair of haggard-looking cyborgs, though it's unclear what role they'll play in the game.
The announcement says the game will be detailed (and named) formally "in the next couple of weeks," but for now we know it features cyborg characters, a futuristic setting with lots of advertising, and that it's a shooter. Considering that Flying Wild Hog was founded back in April of 2009, it stands to reason that the shooter is already well into development, though we'll have to wait for confirmation of more details in the aforementioned "coming weeks."

"haggard -ooking" you say? (sorry couldn't help it, saying "haggardooking" outloud is kinda fun)
Anyway, aesthetically speaking I think it looks pretty damn interesting. Dig the Blade Runner feel. Don't think there are any games out there that have really nailed that setting very well.

Yes - but there is also Prey 2 on the horizon, which (surprisingly) looks rather good. And they are definitely going with the Blade Runner style for that one. Should be interesting to follow this, there is some really interesting stuff coming out of Eastern Europe lately.

I have a habit of calling people shooter. Pretty much just about anybody can be shooter. Perhaps, a good title would be 'Shooter'

Man, the names of these development companies... you'd think punk/SKA music was back on the rise again.

Punk and ska will always have cycles of popularity. Each new generation of kids puts a little new spin to something that has been done a million times and it seems amazing to the next generation. It always dies out quickly because there is only some much you can add before it isn't ska/punk anymore.
