Same. Even as a kid, couldn't figure out how to do anything.

Maybe I was just really stupid back then.

I still remember this series of games, i never understood why they were so popular, for me it was a very stupid platform game that tried too hard to be funny but ended being a very bad game, not one of the james pond games was good, i don´t understand why they were so popular even the magazines gave it good scores.......

@Hunter141072
the first one was pretty decent, played it on the amiga
the 2nd (robocod) is on PSN btw, got it with PS+
but it's really nothing you would want to play in 2011

Ah yes, I still remember the "collect some items whose first initials correspond to the letters in cheat", cheat. Didn't realise it was British though; explains why they included a tap for T. Cheaf doesn't make much sense.

Now that JAMES POND has returned... should I begin hoping for a GREENDOG remake or sequel now?

@foxhound

Well the ending to Greendog was a total cliffhanger, so a sequel would be what the "fans" would demand, I guess.

Really? James Pond?

I am honestly speechless as to what a bad idea this entire...thing...is, from first inception to present.

But it does give me hope for a remakes of shining classics such as Bubsy the Bobcat, or Jim the Claw-end Hammer, or Terry the Slightly Stained Tablecloth with an Attitude, or...

James Pond 2 was THE game of my childhood. I used to think it was great so I bought it on PSN. It's not great!

But I will still buy this game for my iPhone

@Tihn The PSN Robocod is the completely butchered Playstation version; they added that terrible intro, removed any reference to Penguins (or chocolate biscuits in general) and for some reason changed all the level designs. The original was a hell of a lot better.
