@MasterBrief I've lost count of people who say this, and it's completely ignorant.
People do. Lots of people do. While they may not be the hardcore gamers we like to think we are, the service is constantly busy and the numbers are very good, you know, because maybe we wouldn't actually see this stuff if the service was a failure.

@(Unverified) lol I played this a bit when I first had my PS3 and its ok for a social thing which I know is what its intended for but is this the only 'goodies' they are getting? If so that is what is ignorant, thinking that they would like stupid home stuff instead of a game or something else. Yes there are people that use it ofcourse but Id say the majority would like something besides Home stuff

@MasterBrief

The majority got free games, don't be stupid. Its only fair that Home users get free stuff too. But hey, ignorance and stupidity is bliss right?

@MasterBrief You misunderstood the news.. we, European gamers, get the free PlayStation Home goodies on top of the standard Welcome Back package (free games) that the rest of the world gets. So far, I've gotten the free PS3 and PSP games and now I'm getting free Home stuff! Now, that's a plus! And in case you're a bit slow, PS Home is more popular in Europe hence we're being rewarded.

@(Unverified) well that would explain it then It said in the beginning who cares about DLC and games so I took that as it was just this was for EU, dont take my comment so personal I wasnt bashing Home or anything just wondering why theyd give that of all things but you cleared that up

Dang it, I can't play Go Fish with my buddies here in the US? Frickin' unfair, Sony.

As a US player, I wouldn't mind some of that stuff on that list either!

The closest I've ever come to having "fun" on Home was when I decided to masquerade as a female player as part of some weird 'research' I was doing at the time - long story - and watching in shock at all the avatar attention my virtual, opposite-gender self was getting hit on by males, as well as seeing my inbox pile up with lude requests.

I'd make more disparaging remarks about those people, but really, I brought it onto myself =p

Now imagine if you had to change your avatar's gender just to avoid that.

I should have put "/s" at the end of my post or something.. I got/used the US Home freebies, but haven't for almost a month when I first got them. Home just doesn't appeal to me very much (though I could see how it would to others).

Since they generally get shafted when it comes to gaming, which has been since always.
