Wow, these are really cool. Wish I had more personal a use for the Club Nintendo stuff, or the kinda things I would actually use. As it is, last years calendar, the star tote bag, and the kirby patches are bout to go up on eBay/craigslist. Oooh, and the Zelda feather stylus, too.

I foolishly used my tote bag maybe half a dozen times and now the seams are coming undone, as is the Velcro. :(

I wish they had two Platinum rewards this year like they did for the first year. I love pins, but I don't really have any use for them. It's still better than a calendar, I suppose.

I just couldn't see myself getting use from a calendar when my phone has one already. Pins, on the other hand, are a neat collectible, and I'm a sucker for anything that I can collect. To each his own, though.

Lame, I was hoping for something like the tiny statue from last year, I was like 50 short so got the calender. Free pins are still chill, I'm guess I should use some coins today though before they expire =x

This rewards suck a$$. I was expecting a Zelda statue or something. Mario anniversary was LAST YEAR, not this. In fact, this is Japan´s last year Platinum prize. Nice move NoA.

Yah, I agree, and I'm too old to really care about these prizes. Now, they may say "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth," but these things really aren't free. We buy the games, take the time to register them and do surveys ... so we do have to work for them.

When I was younger, I had a Nintendo Power subscription. The giveaways for that were an actual Super Nintendo game (I think it was Illusion of Gaia) and later on, a N64 gold painted controller. Now THOSE were giveaways ... just for subscribing to a magazine, not having to buy other games and doing surveys.

Xbox rewards along with Bing give out much better prizes for those who collect the points. Nintendo appeases the under 10 crowd, I guess.

@SpartanSnake

If you consider registering some games and doing a few surveys work, then you might (or at least should) still be in the under 10 crowd.

They are free rewards. And as a collector, i'm persoanlly looking forward to it. I totally would have prefered a Zelda Statue (or anything zelda related, really) but i'm certainly not going to bitch about it and claim to have "worked" for it.

I purhcased these games and systems because i wanted them. If i can get a few FREE collectables out of it, then cool. If you don't like the rewards thats fine, they can't please everyone. But lets keep it in perspective.

A... pin.... set...

Yeah, that's nice and all, and I know I really shouldn't be complaining about free stuff, but...

Where's the Super NES/FC Classic Controller? Or the TV remote that looks like a Wii Remote? Heck, what about the gold Wii Wheel?!

The first platinum choices were pretty cool (the Mario hat or the Doc Louis Punch-Out game), and last year's was nice (a diorama of most of the major Mario characters), but now... pins?

When did NOA become the suckiest Nintendo? It used to be NOE that was worse, but hell, at least they've been bringing out several games from Japan that NOA hasn't [yet], like Disaster, Tingle's Rupeeland, and (so far) Xenoblade. Hell, Europe got Doshin the Giant for GameCube even though we didn't!

Yeah...I'm kind of disappointed. I finally managed to get platinum this year and I get pins... I mean, sure they look cool, but they don't seem like something that would be quite as easy to show off as something like the figurine they had last year.

Wait, we haven't considered the possibility that these are magic pins. Are they like the pins from The World Ends With You? Because if not then NoA can just give me my second choice by localizing Xenoblade and The Last Story.

This Is my 3rd year w/ Club Nintendo, & .. I am disapoint :(.... Nintendo was Givin' Away Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! & plush Mario replica Caps (Which I have, didn't have a Wii at the time) 2nd Year, I was "Gold" Status that year, after painfully accepting the 2011 Calendar in place of a awesome looking, shiny, figurine... *Though the Nintendogs are rather adorable, anyone agree?*, After all that, making sure that I don't end up with the same thing AGAIN for 2011, I get ..... buttons.. Nintendo, I a great follower, but you're pushing all the wrong....

I love 8-bit art...my girlfriend made me an original Mario Bros. "8-bit" quilt for my birthday this year, so this pin set fits right in with my appreciation for pixel art.

This is my first time registering anything with Club Nintendo, and realized when OoT was released that I could use all the games I purchased since I got a wii to get coins. I got two poster sets (each with at least one poster I love) and this pin set. I can't complain...though if I had tried hard to get platinum status I can imagine feeling some disappointment here.

Reggie: "OMG I don´t know what to give to these CN nerds."

Miyamoto: "Give them something Zelda."

-Reggie receives memo-

Reggie: "Who gives a f$%k about Zelda anniversary. In Japan they´ve got extra stock of those shitty pins nobody ordered last year. I´ve got my prize."

this it my first year with club Nintendo and I got a platinum status but I never will again because I register my all my first party games (including my 3ds) to actually reach platinum status so there is no way I will have enough points to even get a gold status let alone a platinum status and this wouldn't be so bad but all I get is buttons and then I though well what other prizes did people get last year this might not be that bad but then I read the comments and they got way better stuff and it just made me feel really mad this is zelda's anniversary why could we get a link statue it would go great beside my ocarina of time 3D game.

ok lets see I need 600 points to get another platinum status and you get 40 points per game so 600 divided by 40 is 15 so I will have to buy 15 more first party games to get a platinum status and I will probably only get 3DS games and those are $50 each (where I live) so 15 times 50 is 750 so I will have to spend another $750 to get a platinum status that is a lot of money considering I don't make any money as a student and also considering I need to get other games that aren't Nintendo games like uncharted 3 and not to mention the ps vita so I hope next years prize isn't as good because I know I won't be getting it
