Most likely because it's on Steam for the same price.

Just sayin'

@PointlessPuppies

It's seems Steam was trying to match Amazon's price since this deal started yesterday on Amazon, before Steam's deal.

Just sayin'

@Js2Kings Seems Steam probably already had it set to go on sale today (it's part of the daily deal batch and was probably planned at least a month ahead of time) and wasn't playing catch-up considering it's the publishers that decide what and when to put their games on sale.

Just sayin'...

@Vindowviper glory of steam? just like apple fanboys, no doubt you are part of the steam cult. you of course have to worship steam because not doing so will bring too much worry to you since they have all your games. so you delude yourself like all steam fanboys that valve loves you cares for you and is a gamers best friend.

Lol, what? That's what you got from the phrase "the glory of Steam?" I mean, Steam is pretty freakin' awesome, you can't deny that....Idk about you, but to all of the PC gamers in the world, Steam IS a gamer's best friend. I don't understand how anyone can be a PC gamer and not use Steam. It's just ignorance in my opinion.
So who cares if he's a Valve fanboy? 99% of PC gamers are. =P

@Mmmmz The main point it was no one copying off of each other (Since Amazon had no idea that Steam would put BC2 on sale, or for $5, unless EA told all distributors to put it for $5. Of course the better option is Steam, however.

@dioxholster Hahaha, "Thanks to the glory of steam" meaning the fact that its saved to my account.. I am no steam fanboy, I do use it and have many games through them due to ease of access, and super cheap prices. but I also have a Games for windows live account (which I dont enjoy their interface), I also have an EA account, a THQ account, and a GOG account. I just purchase games based on price cause I'm a cheap skate, unless its a game in which I AM a fanboy of.... in which case I get it at release. But I'm curious why being a steam fan-boy is such a bad thing? I get great customer service from them, ease of use, access, low resources, and fantastic prices at the right times... You can't explain that....

Talk about misleading guys! It's only for the PC download of it... I was freaking pumped to buy it on 360 but it's a bunch more cash for anything other than the PC download. Ya jerks! ;p

You know you might crush a few console gamers dreams by not mentioning that its a PC Download only deal.

None the less BFBC2 is an amazing game and it's worth wild to pick it up at this steal of a price.

While one of the new people haven't wowed me yet, I'm going to wait a bit before casting them off. I plan to give about 2 months to see how their wiritng style is going to be. Then, if I still don't like it I'll be halfway in your boat.

However, one think you gotta give the new people. They're already catching on to poor descriptions of the actual topic at hand, and not fully looking into what they're citing (see this post for poor dscriptions, and this one http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/26/george-geohot-hotz-now-using-his-powers-for-good-facebook/ for not fully looking what they're citing)

In all fairness, it's $5.00 on Steam. If I knew I could've got it for $4.99 I would've waited.

Might want to mention that it is a PC download and link to the Steam deal as well.

Everyone else needs to shut the hell up. I bet you guys worked to your fullest potential when you were fresh on your jobs? It takes time to get the hang of everything. It's not like this is horribly wrong.

Really? You felt no need to mention anywhere in the article that this was for PC only?

Why not advertise the Steam deal instead? I mean, they're having that huge Summer Camp sale right now, and BFBC2 is the exact same price on it....Then at least it would be clear that this is a PC only deal.

I got it on Amazon yesterday. I'm getting absolutely rocked by people with upgraded sniper scopes, but visually the game is a lot more stunning than I remember it on the 360.

Now if only I could import my upgraded scope....

Typical. I check steam for a deal on this game regularly, and the one day I'm offline all day helping a family member move and get setup is the day this happens.
