@Acosta02

There is a glitch with the move.

"This can only occur in Double and Triple Battles. If one of your pokémon uses Sky Drop first, and then the other uses Gravity while the other pokémon are in the semi-invulnerable stage, Gravity will stop Sky Drop and take the targed and the user of Sky Drop down, but the target can't move until the Sky Drop user faints or switches out."

@Acosta02
A glitch in double and triple battles can cause a Pokémon to be stuck in the semi-invulnerable state when Sky Drop is used until it faints. The glitch is activated when Gravity is used while two Pokémon are in the semi-invulnerable state after the use of Sky Drop. Gravity will bring the user of Sky Drop down while the target will be stuck in the semi-invulnerable state, unable to move until it is knocked out or hit with one of the moves listed above. Because of the glitch, Sky Drop has been banned in Wi-Fi Random Matches as of November 10, 2010.

@Mr Khan

Ahh but when you bust your tail, working the next to useless Deino all the way to your very own Hydreigon at 64, you feel so awesome. And then you can laugh maniacally as you tear your foes apart with one of the coolest dragons ever.

But yeah, I hated fighting Ghetsis' , because it was so much higher level than any other pokemon at that point of the game, not to mention it shouldn't even be the final evolution at that level. I tell ya, NPCs hack so damn much in Pokemon games. ;)

@Mr Khan Eh once I realized Dark is weak againts Fighting, it's a pretty easy fight.
Unfortunately, I realize it about 2 months after my first fight againts Ghetsis

Wait, Steel types only got 1 percent?

*reads link*

Oh, the graphic only counts the primary type. That makes sense.

I would have thought Stone Edge would have seen more use than Rock Slide.

Also, when the hell did Grass become so good?!

@Johe4871 Bah, accidentally posted early, I also wanted to say that I would have really liked to see the Natures and maybe the EV spreads used, though that's probably too in depth for a site like IGN to post...

@Johe4871 It's Double Battles format. You'll want to hit as many opponents as you want, and fast, which is why Rock Slide > Stone Edge in VGC.

@religiousjedi Ah, I must have missed that. Still, I'm surprised by the wide use of Grass types, and I'm really curious about the EV spreads that the winners used.

in these competitions, is there any way for Nintendo to know for sure if those competing have hacked their cartridges and cheated, you know like increasing their Pokemon stats and things like that? With the DS rom hacking and such that goes on I imagine it would be possible.

@DarkAndroid

They definitely check if your game card has come into contact with any illegal pokemon. Even if you traded unwittingly for a Pokesav'd mon, you'll be disqualified.
