"if you were a chick, who's the one guy you'd sleep with?"

"John Stamos!"

It's the hair, obviously. Just give her the ol' "'ave mercy" and she'll be explosive putty in your hands.

@F1shBone so glad you said it first, saved me the time.
Except for the time it took to type this.
Enough with the high price digital games, c'mon give us a little break.

@F1shBone I know! Shadow Complex is probably the only XBLA game that is truly worth $15.

Only Shadow Complex? As much as I love the game (probably my second favourite 360 title period), get real ... there is definitely not $15 worth of content in there, it's a short and easy game that's over in a few measly hours.

What is there, is $15+ worth of lovingly crafted, fun gameplay. Just like in a hell of a lot of XBLA and PSN games. There's plenty of games worth the $15 price tag, as well as plenty that I'd happily have paid more for. On the other hand, I really can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed at my $50-60 retail game purchase. $10-15 is the sweet spot for digital games, and if $15 is too much for you to enjoy an excellent game, then you really need to find a new hobby.

@Epoque

i agree with what you said, mostly, but i disagree that Shadow Complex is too short (especially not for a downloadable). at least, it's not short if you go back through and 100% everything. it was a bit easy though, even after cranking the difficulty up. i felt it was well worth $15, but then again i felt like LIMBO was, too. in the end, i suppose it all boils down to how much enjoyment you get out of the games on a personal level. i love adventure games, puzzlers, and platformers, so naturally i got a lot of enjoyment out of both Shadow Complex and LIMBO. i also disagree

With every other game of this caliber priced at $15, I think they realized that a ton of people deciding between one of those games and Ms. Splosion Man will decide on Ms. Splosion Man because it's $5 cheaper.

I hope they make a killing and we then see more $10 games.

@JasonA I think you're forgetting the best part: You can buy doughnuts with the saved $5.

Everybody loves doughnuts.

I'm not soapboxing, but the random stereotypical chick phrases really put me off. I would have preferred gibberish. I'd be embarrassed to play this game in front of a woman.

'Splosion Man was an exciting platformer, and I'm sure this will be just as fun in action, although unbearable with the volume turned up.

Eh... there's no real need to white knight the issue, it's more a question of how annoying her voice is going to get over the course of 50 levels. Early gameplay clips made it seem like she was chattering constantly and repetitively without much actual humor being delivered. I'd rather have the endearing gibberish of 'Splosionman over that any day.

Although I'll probably also be ranked down for this, I 100% agree with you. It's not just from the trailers or gameplay videos. I played the beta extensively and there's something specifically grating about the female voice acting. Both with how stereotypical what she says is and the way in which it's delivered, I feel there's definitely less polish in this game than the original Splosion Man.

I'll wait for reviews to see if her voice is in fact that irritating after 50 levels for others as it was in the few available in the beta for me.

Sweet. I was hoping this would be the case. I have 800 points set aside for this next week.

I definitely think that is the best price point for them. I've heard Comic Jumper was a disappointment in terms of sales & I think the price was a big part of the reason for that.

Gonna try it out when it releases and if I like it, I'll be buying it at 400MSP like I did with Splosion Man

So the game that I WOULD pay $15 for is priced at $10.

This marketplace is backwards.

I'll definitely be grabbing this on the 13th. With most XBLA games, I wait for a sale, but I'm happy to show Twisted Pixel some love for not bringing it out at 1200 points.
