Rumor: Ms. 'Splosion Man seen briefly on Steam

Rock Paper Shotgun's Lewie Procter claims to have had a Steam version of Ms. 'Splosion Man spontaneously burst into his library, only to be replaced soon after by a listing called "ValveTestApp105420." A screenshot captured by RPS shows greyed-out Achievement images that depict Ms. 'Splosion Man, further suggesting that it's a future Steam offering that got out a bit early, and not just a completely random error.

Ms. Splosion Man's initial announcement came without a platform listing, leading to speculation then that it wouldn't be an XBLA exclusive. And as far back as 2009, the developer was saying there was nothing holding the series to XBLA but convenience. We've reached out to Twisted Pixel to find out when or if this mistaken reveal will lead to a real one.

Get me a freaking Mac version. I love this game, but I just hate switching to the Windows side of my computer to play an awesome game I bought.

Stop being one of those mac users and switch to windows. It's no where near as bad as you'd like to believe. I've never had a virus but then again I don't surf questionable sites.

If you are a gamer use windows. If you don't really game and PREFER mac OS, then use that. There are no real advantages of using mac's other than preference nowadays.

There are definitely advantages for certain type of professionals, but for average consumers PCs are much more versatile and affordable. And for gamers, there is absolutely no question as to PC superiority, simple and true fact.

@DV8ing1 Windows is so clunky and disgusting. OS X is a powerhouse, and I use my Mac to game more than I do my PC. The thing that does it for me is Team Fortress 2's (or any Source game) Alt+Tab on Windows will take me a good 30 seconds to get back into game, where on Mac OS X it's like I never even left. I have a strong feeling that Lion will > W8 when they're both released.

Where do you get the idea that he doesn't understand the advantages of using Windows? He already has it installed on his computer, so I'm pretty sure he has a use for it.

Your comment comes across as overly defensive, as though you are offended that he would rather use a Mac than a Windows based PC.

If you like mac os then thats fine... but don't be posting about how you hate to switch to windows to play a game. Games have always been supported much better on windows. It's like preferring to use a NES controller in a game and then bitching that it can't map all the needed controls.

Please don't get me wrong, I like macs and actually own one but I know what it isn't capable of YET. If you want to play the latest and greatest, don't be surprised you need to use windows is all I'm trying to say.

@Danthaman I very highly doubt your computer does it in 5, highly doubt it even does 10.. all my friends have the exact same problem... also when did I say anything about the desktop, I meant the overall OS. Derp

I can alt tab in about 4 seconds with my rig in fullscreen mode. I have however switched to a new method that is instant.

I hope this is true. While I will still be purchasing on XBLA, I really hope more people get to experience the awesomeness of Twisted Pixel's games.

Considering Microsoft is publishing the game though, I wouldn't recommend holding your breath for a PSN version, at least anytime soon.

You know, I like how Twisted PIxel tries something new for the fans with every game...

What if... what if they had cross platform, like Portal 2 with the PS3 and Steam?
