Or maybe instead you get a job, earn the $35 deluxe edition of the game costs right now (which will take all of four or five hours! OMG), and then play the game like you are an adult.

That way CD Project Red can go on making awesome games and you can go on enjoying them.

Just another reason for me to swear off Namdai. They want to take the creators to court, and then hold off payments because they removed crappy DRM? Yeah. I am officially through with Namdai. Screw Namdai, screw their crappy Tales Of series that they can't get to sell in the states, and screw them for half the games they released only in Europe and not America (Tales of Eternia PSP, Naruto Ultimate Ninja 5, etc).

Namdai, this is the final nail in your coffin. I hope you go belly-up and fail. You are a disgrace to the human race, and a disgrace as a business. You are leeches that attach yourself to successful, pro-consumer creators (CD Projekt, CyberConnect2), and then you demand they make changes and destroy their operations. You're the poor man's version of Activision.

The DRM hurt game performance, so they removed it.

I guess having the word "Optimus" attached to anything makes it ten times tougher.

Let's test that: Optimus Daffodil

...see told you.

namco bandai should focus on their own games(tales series not coming to u.s and europe) instead of causing problems successful European developer like cdk project red.

I don't understand the "Yay CD Projekt" for their removal of Securom, it existed (when they said in the first place there wasn't going to be DRM) and it prevented people from playing the game. They only patched it after a week of people being unable to use their game.

They fixed their game, it wasn't CD Projekt being anti-DRM. It was them simply making sure people could play the damn game after they lied.

@Mama Luigi

Err, the GoG Download version was supposed to be DRM Free if I'm not mistaken, other versions from different services had DRM, like the CD version and Steam's own DRM.

@ComedyInK

They had initially announced the game would be DRM free on all fronts (aside from Steam and stuff, obvious reasons) to prove that DRM isn't necessary to combat piracy.

You should show us your source and proof because as far as I know. GOG was the only DRM-free source for The Witcher. It was an exclusive deal and that's why many GOG members were a bit miffed (but not pissed) that their justifications for buying from GOG was no longer applicable.

@Mama Luigi And presumably the publisher didn't agree to no DRM. Why do you think GoG version had no DRM but the others didn't?

CD Projeckt Red better watch themselves: Namco has NEVER been afraid of bad press and angry fans when they want to do something.

Namco always looked bad even when people really like their games!
