There's no real secret, just a way to kiss ps3 users ass after such a delay. See castle crashers, etc. It'll be quite mundane, I promise.

The comments are really annoying on the playstation blog. Many of them are making fun of 360 for "losing" this a year later.

@mywhitenoise thats because as a console Sony lost so they feel the need to defend their poor decisions.

360 players lose games that are a year old but we have moved on to what is brand new. Who would be proud of getting old games all the time?

@mywhitenoise Why would it matter? 360 owners have played with this toy, had it discounted and flushed it. 360 owners have moved on, it's sloppy seconds at best now.

You know, acting like a petty child doesn't make THEIR childish actions less valid than they already are. They just make YOU look just as infantile as them.

I find it silly that people are touting this as a "lost exclusive" (as if any of that mattered), but I find your childish reaction equally silly.

Who cares about WHEN we get to play a particular game. It's not like these games have a past date or are we in the fashion industry all of a sudden?

But yeah the whole "haha they lost an exclusive" rant is also idiotic. I'm glad that 360 users get to play Dark Souls and that PS3 players like myself get to play Limbo.

It matters to those who haven't played it. As you can see, this article is for those interested in the PC and PS3 version.

Everytime an article surfaces about the Xbox 360, PS3, or any other platform "losing" an exclusive I always see the comments section flood with defensive posts about how they "don't care" or how they've "moved on." It's funny because it doesn't look like that at all.

"Sloppy seconds" is the most idiotic thing I have ever heard in my life. So because a game is less than a year old it's no longer good? Man, and here I thought I was about to go play Super Mario World.

Thing is, why are any of the downloadable games exclusive? You'd think that the developers would want to put it on every service they could to get as much exposure and profit possible.

Some of the best XBLA games easily rival full-fledged, 60 dollar, retail games on any system, but why are they ONLY on the 360? It's just odd, really. I don't know what's taking place behind closed doors, but it really is a shame these games aren't seen and played by more people.

I guess kids need something to argue about on the internets though...

@Uncle Jesse

The only reason downloadable games are ever exclusive are either:
1) first party-developer, i.e. all the money came from the console-specific publisher, or
2) the developer got some financial assistance (in one form or another) from one of the console-specific publishers in exchange for (timed) exclusivity), or
3) the developer just doesn't have the time/resources/etc. to port the project to multiple consoles.

Take your pick, but I'm guessing it was #2, and probably is in most cases.

#3, The development tools are better on the 360, so it is less costly to develop there first and see how the concept does, then port if the experiment is successful.

@Steven4 Why would it matter...to 360 owners, not PS3/PC only owners, it's obvious why it would matter to them. I won't be buying Limbo on any platform, so really I don't care. I don't see why any 360 only owner would care if someone else gets to play a game they've had a year to play and that's all I was alluding to.

@TraceurRyuk Part III Did sloppy seconds offend you since you're sloppier thirds? "So because a game is less than a year old it's no longer good?" Is that a serious question? You thought you were about to play Super Mario World? WTF does that mean? Make sure you get some fresh air before you reply next time, okay? Maybe then you won't blow things out of proportion.

@mywhitenoise You should stop reading PS blog user comments, I did that a long, long time ago.
Its appaling to see that most of the publishers actually take the time to respond some questions and solve any doubts concerning to the game featured, only to see that most of the comments are from dumb fanboys writing useless stuff like the one you've mentioned.

@laser beams

Thought I was alone in realizing this. I loved the demo, but I couldn't bring myself to spend $15 on what I heard was a very, very short game after I made the same mistake with Braid, another short and overpriced game.

Meanwhile you can buy Pac-Man DX for $10, a game that's infinitely more fun and has loads more content. Or you could buy Portal, Marvel vs Capcom, Shadow Complex, or Lara Croft for the same price as Limbo and get soooooo much more for your money.

This is just where preferences come in. You seem to like the arcadey games with a lot of replay value. Nothing wrong with that. But I prefer something more innovative, with a little more substance. (IE Braid, Flower, Limbo)

Yeah. Bioshock, Castle Crashers, Mass Effect 2, Braid, etc. It has to do with some contract that Microsoft is signing. Can't think of any other reason.

1 less reason to buy a xbox360.
Don't get me wrong, i allready have a xbox, but 80% of the new stuff for the xbox the last year have been exclusive to US customers, i love the live experience (buying games online that actually matter and are not 3 years old (hence the PS store)!) and the whole interface but with only 2-3 "must have" exclusive titles, movies without subtitles (rentals), the most noisy of the current-gen consoles.
