Uncharted 3 beta begins the end with a co-op campaign

The Uncharted 3 beta is only open until July 14, but Naughty Dog and Sony aren't done adding goodies to the game. The final additions will be made to the beta tomorrow, July 10, including a never-before-seen map, Yemen, and players' first chance to play the co-op campaign.

This is also the final week to earn beta rewards, which include the Treasure Hunter's Starter Pack and in-game cash on day one. Sony announced that over 1 million unique players have taken part in the Uncharted 3 beta -- if you haven't, join the crowd today to play the co-op campaign tomorrow. You sheep.

Co-op campaign? Is there a lengthy co-op campaign this time around as opposed to the 2 or 3 maps in Uncharted 2? That would be totally awesome. :)

Since most players loved the co-op campaign on U2, I'm sure ND will make it longer this time around.

I wish they'd just let this beta run up until the release day.

Oh well, gives me an excuse to find some time to play uc2's mp I guess. I'm only about lvl 6 on that.

I'm glad I have a PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

It's too bad the beta doesn't even work. Error downloading config file. Haven't even got to play it. All four updates installed and none of them fixed that problem. Frustrating. I want to play it.

I only got to play maybe 4 matches or so, but it was fun. It handled a lot differently from what I remember Uncharted 2 handling. I'm just disappointed I couldn't play more of it.

Same thing happened to me. I erased all the beta information from my PS3 and downloaded it all over again. It fixed it.

Been having a lot of fun since.

Yeah I tried that. I downloaded the WHOLE demo three times on two different machines. And tried deleting the game install data several times. I finally got it to work by changing my DNS numbers in internet settings as I found the solution somewhere.

The never-before-seen map was actually in the first day by accident and I had my eyes open so it has been quite seen and played.

I had the same issue, but I decided to be smart and try deleting and reinstalling the game. That did it for me.

Really glad they're adding another map into the mix. I've lost count of just how many times I've failed to jump onto that departing cargo ship...

yemen was in the rotation the first few hours the beta went live, cant wait to play it again since it was my favorite.

The beta is pretty fun, too bad it won't last long. :/

Damn...I probably won't get much time on the co-op tomorrow, hopefully I don't get stuck playing with any hillbilly teammates who tlob grenades at me in revenge for stealing their AI kills...(which is what happened in the UC2 beta).

Who want to bet this beta will get extended?

I'll be welcoming the return of Three Team Deathmatch by pretty much playing it all day tomorrow. And some of the new co-op mode, of course.

I have been playing the beta with no problems at all after the first patch I am enjoying it can't wait too play the new yemen map

Even though i've played a decent amount of U3 Beta games.

It's only now im super pissed off that my PS3 YLoD'ed around 2 weeks ago after updating to 3.66.

@Red Deer The update isn't related to the YLoD. Mine PS3 YLoDed while playing a Blu-ray.

rewards? co-op? ...I might actually decide to play.. didn't bother with MP because I just get bored with it very quickly

the last shooting-based multiplayer game i loved was left 4 dead... normally these types of games leave me pretty cold. however, this beta is awesome. i think i'm addicted to it. setting aside the kickbacks, power plays, and the stat/customization stuff, the level design of these maps makes them a riot to play. i'm looking forward to trying out three-team deathmatch, but mostly i just want this game to come out NOW. i wasn't even looking forward to the multiplayer and now i'll probably play it first when the game is released.

Co-Op Adventure kicks ass. It was a welcome change to play as Elena, since for the past two weeks I've been playing with and against a bunch of grunting sweaty guys.

whats the level cap at? some people said 25 but i see some nerds running around in the 40's
