this handheld seems to mark the beginning of NoA's plan to take a crap on the US.

@byaboy This isn't the only incident though. The VC, Operation Rainfall, this, etc.

The US is just where I live, so the Nintendo branch based here is who I complain about. :)

I don't know of a market for Nintendo's crap that's bigger than North America.

Oh well. I guess I'll just bide my time with... more Zelda.

Awesome. Now if those good folks at Netflix would get their app ready that'd be fantastic. Slowly but surely the 3DS is starting to build up a nice software suite. Inch by inch it's a sinch, do it by the yard it's hard!

Those rhymes reduced me to tears. I could't tell if it was out of humor or total depression.

Those are the sweet tears of insatiable sadness.

@shabby

On the bright side that's more than enough time to watch an episode of Lost, 24, Lie To Me or Law & Order SVU.

That's weird, I get between 3-4 hours easy before it goes flashing red light on me with Zelda. Usually at full 3D, 3/4ths volume, and level 3 or 4 brightness w/o power-saving mode on. Only time I need full brightness is when demo'ing it to someone new or playing in direct sunlight. Other than that it's pretty damn bright still.

I doubt most of the movies will be in 3D, so...
Without the 3D on, the 3DS actually lasts for quite some time.
Heck, playing a normal DS game on it feels like there was never such a thing as a "battery problem".

Netflix coming to 3DS is pretty impressive considering my brand new Incredible 2 with todays Gingerbread update doesn't even support it. Hell it doesn't even have Google Video chat or Skype Video chat or grumble grumble grumble....

@Co

Why is it impressive? Pretty much all new consumer electronic devices that have access to the internet can stream netflix. Consoles, web players (Roku / Apple Tv etc) Mobile Phones, Blu-Ray Players, Televisions, Computers, TiVO ... I have more devices in my house that can stream netflix than I do devices that can play DVDs.

@Co That problem with Netflix and Skype is purely on their side. Hardware and screen size differ on many Android phones, but soon enough, with enough updates, we'll all be Skypable and streaming movies. Still, I have several devices capable of streaming Netflix already. The 3DS is always welcome to join in.

I wonder if Canadians will be able to watch netflix on their 3DS would think so because we can watch netflix on all the other consoles but you never know because netfix.ca sucks compared to netflix.com so I wouldn't be surprised if we had to wait awhile until it was availble on the 3DS and even if you can watch netflix videos on you 3DS will any movies be available to watch in 3D and if they are Canadians will probably have to wait awhile before we can watch movies in 3D to.

The service is already up and running now...

Looks more like they have split the services between different television stations and supporters. Fuji and NTV are doing the Itsu no ma ni TV (the Spotpass or whatever they`re calling it outside Japan), and this new one is getting things from other places including NHK (which is great, in my mind.)
