The Global Tournament they will be hosting is the GSL. The famous global Starcraft 2 league held in Seoul , South Korea. Bringing the finals of the GSL to Blizzcon we'll be an amazing spectacle, and many congrats are to be had to Blizzard, the GSL, and Esports in general.

I'd imagine that the price of scalped tickets has just gone up, the GSL is the best StarCraft II tournament out there. Would also like to point out that Blizzard probably won't be having "virtual tickets" for the GSL final seeing as how it's going to be streamed by GOMTV.net, which has it's own premium service.

It'll probably have a virtual ticket service for the battle.net invitational though.

@Mr Esc is the namesarcasm is my

Blitzball, you mean. It also was pretty boring (and easy -- Jecht Shot 2 all day, err'day).

On topic: can really care less about SC2 media (that's just me, though -- blame my buds for ditching the game shortly after we all moved on to Diamond [with one who was stuck on Platinum due to playing too many DoTA pubs ^^;]).

All I want is just Diablo 3 info. I'd like that to be my 2nd game, right next to BF3 (6950 x 2 -- prepped up and ready for the latter!).

Thanks!

This is great news. Also great news is Diablo being front and center on the banner for Blizzcon. I think we'll finally get a release date this year.

Unfortunately, that has no bearing on whether or not there'll be a release date.

D3's been featured on every BlizzCon keyart since the reveal in '07. However, Morhaime has said that they're pushing for external beta sometime within the next month.

I've played it at BlizzCon for the past 3 years. I can only imagine how much polish has gone into it at this point.

@Wulf

You wrote all that and yet you missed the point. It's in the center. Every game that's been featured in the CENTER has had some big announcement. It's also in the center of any other promotional art. It's definitely a hint (that's been verbally confirmed) that this coming Blizzcon will be Diablo centric or at least the biggest yet in terms of Diablo info. You're right it does not guarantee a release date though. I'm not naive enough to guarantee that when the developer in question is Blizzard.

I've played Diablo 3 once as well at a World of Warcraft regional final. Needless to say I didn't go for Warcraft, I went for Diablo. The build I played was the Blizzcon 2009 version if I'm not mistaken. The one in the desert. It was quiet good at the time and even more so in hindsight considering how much polish - as you mentioned - may have gone into it since.
