@MightyRunner You're right, it isn't the cannon ending, but it definitely is the canon ending.

cant wait. i said it before, but, there was nothing wrong with metro 2033's shooting mechanics. people are just so used to CoD and dont realize that when your barrel is a 1/4 to one side, it translates into a few feet when you shoot at something 10 feet away.

agreed big time. this trailer blew my mind.... i love how they're making it even more realistic while still making it look like a blast. btw, to anyone that is going to play this one or 2033, go into the Options menu and turn off the reticle and the HUD. it makes it a bit harder to play, but makes it feel WAAAY more realistic. after turning them off, for me the game went from being really really cool to one of my favorite games to date.

agreed. i never had a problem with the combat like so many other people because headshots still always took down enemies with a single bullet. the most complaining i heard about the game was aimed at how you could pump 5 or so dirty bullets into an enemy and not kill it. i'm pretty sure that was an intentional game design because in the Metro 2033 universe, given the scarcity of ammo left in the world, dirty bullets are filed down to be only about a 1/4th as powerful as normal, while the gold bullets you rarely find lying around (that are also used as currency) were like real bullets, and much more powerful when fired from guns.

meh, haters gonna hate i suppose.

@Ramen of Doom Judging from the "start-then-suddenly-stop-on-a-dime" aiming that is consistent throughout the whole video, I'm gonna say console.

@YimYimYimi

I played the entire first game with a 360 pad on the pc so that argument is debatable. With that said, I believe they would be using the pc version so far as its much quicker to utilize new builds and quickly throw things together. I'm sure they could do that with a 360 sdk but its an extra step.

@DV8ing1

I used a controller for it too.

I hate the "start-then-suddenly-stop-on-a-dime" movement that comes with using WASD.

I finally beat the game on my PC, one of the most beautiful and atmospheric games I've ever played, though I was playing it at maxed out, ultra-high settings.

You must have one heck of a computer to play that maxed out! I have a gtx580 and to get a consistent 60fps@1080p, I had to turn tessellation and advanced depth of field off, and reduce the overall settings to high. Granted if you are ok with 30fps I probably could have kept that on, but I prefer the smooth gameplay 60 gets you.

to be fair though, dirty ammo wasn't all that scarce in the first game. i played it on normal and i never felt underarmed.

Sweet. The only problem I have with 2033 is the combat. So, hopefully it works out a lot better in this one.

absolutely adored the first game even though it was incredibly flawed. What I'd like to see is more focus on stealth and melee battles then the ammo scrounge. I realize the scarcity of ammo makes it more intense. But I just don't like to be annoyed by such things.

shows what you know about shooters, since the very first Call of Duty came out only 8 years ago. then again, you probably only started playing Call of Duty since #4. i believe you are what people like to call a "n00b".

metro 2033 I thought was a really good game for a companies first game. It brought something different to the FPS genre and didn't use the typical modern war scenario.

It did have its problems from time to time but they can be overlooked as you know you learn from your mistakes and I'm sure they have, that's why Last Night looks pretty damn sweet.

I can honestly say I'm looking forward to this game. well done on their part.
