It's not exactly a thing to boast about being the "#1 3rd party seller" on the Wii, much less "#1 seller" on the Wii in general right now.

Considering, you know, jack shit has been released otherwise for the system.

Hell, I actually encourage Joystiq to hastily create a game for the Wii and release it! I am willing to bet you all of the $15-20 it would take to make the game it would sell enough to become new #1 seller on the Wii!

I thought most of the the 3rd party games sold this generation were sold on the Wii.

Regardless of the reputation of the system or its catalog of games, I would certainly be inclined to boast if I had the #1 third-party seller on this generation's top-selling system. Hell, why not.

Though I do wish it was a more exciting game catering to "core" sensibilities, like I imagine you do.

What, you're telling me you WOULDN'T buy a game called "Joystiq: The Game", with a budget of $20 for game development, and thousands poured into the obligatory "Q" shaped Pro-Controller mandatory for it?

Apart from the fact that the answer is no, the answer is also no to the question "What, you're telling me millions of other people ... for it?"

Meanwhile, Just Cause 2 is still the #1 third-party seller in our hearts!

LoL It's just the song by Kriss Kross represented on the picture, thank heaven. I don't know if I could deal with hipsters bitching that their sister-jeans are on backward and it's hard to pee.

Let's remember two things....

1. It further proves that, in regard to the larger population of gamers, the Wii never collects dust.

2. When we were kids, the PowerPad and its games were "core" experiences. It's really no different today.

If people are passionate about a game (as folks clearly are with this franchise) then it's very definition "core" gaming.

Bloody shooters is (sub)genre of gaming ... not a play style.
