@TubaDude49 Joystiq, this man has the right idea! I feel like they should post the RBN updates too, I've been spending a lot more of my points lately there just on a whim and been finding some amazing songs.

@mywhitenoise Oh god no not Spoonman. My drumming arms and brains don't want to re-learn the muscle memory required.

@mywhitenoise Also, regarding "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman", we are definitely aware of the fact that folks would like to see those tracks return and we're working on it. Unfortunately licensing is a bit trickier because those songs have already been released on disc.

Sounds like I'd have to pay for them again...not going to do that.

If there's one good thing with Guitar Hero dying out, this is it - Rock Band is free to deal with Soundgarden again. Thank god.

This might sound like a stupid question. If so, forgive me. Anyway, I'm new to rock band. Just found a full Rock Band 2 set and am going to buy 3 soon. Anyway, my question is will DLC I buy while I am playing 2 automatically show up and work when I upgrade to 3?

Yes it will. You will also be able to export all but a few songs to your hard drive for use in 3 as well. I think its 10 bucks. The same can also be done with the 1st as well for $5, its a pretty solid way of expanding your library if you are new to the series.

@Gposh
i would like to clarify that if you already exported RB1 tracks to use on RB2 then nothing extra has to be done to export RB1 tracks to RB3 they will be there when you load RB3

Would have been nice to see something off "Louder Than Love" but 2 "Badmotorfinger" tracks will do. Seeing Soundgarden on Saturday in Chicago so this is like icing on the cake.

I won these tracks in a contest in a couple days ago and its gotten me to play RB again for the first time in over a year. I was surprised at how much fun "Outshined" was to play. "Rusty Cage" kicked my ass on Expert.
