Disgaea 4 pre-orders available in three flavors

The Disgaea 4 Premium Editions we outlined last April are now available for pre-order, so get ready to have the penguin and/or bomb-shaped voids filled in your strategically battling little hearts.

Pre-order packages come in your choice of Original Recipe, Extra Crispy (the "Premium Edition"), and Buffalo-style, (the "Premium Figure Set"), with art books and adorable figurines awaiting those who are willing to drop a little extra coin. All three options come with the game's soundtrack, however, so you won't be entirely left out of the freebie fun if a 4-inch-tall anime penguin girl isn't worth 20 extra smackers.

It's probably designed to circumvent filters - though if all the other spam around here is any indication, Joystiq doesn't really have filters for that. Thank goodness for that; I'm not sure I'd have an act if I couldn't tell you guys lame jokes about Nike shoes.

I typically don't like Penny Arcade, but that was funny! I can't wait on Disgaea 4 and it's lovely 9999 level cap. I don't know which version I'll be getting, but I do know that the game is day one for me.

Inconceivably, the level cap is 9999 PLUS from total levels (because of reincarnating) something extremely high, I don't know because I never reached it. But the only way you're gonna beat the bonus bosses is if you grind to level 9999, 9999 times.

IIRC (Sry got the platinum last year or the one before) in order to get max stats you would have to get to 9999, reincarnate position ur char in a club in front of the class with the best stat teacher and repeat 5 times. I remember grinding a TON, loved the game, dood!

After you get to the end of Disgaea 3, I clocked about 10 minutes from reincarnation to level 9999. After you have maxed the Statisticians (I think) on one item, then dupe that item and have lots of statisticians, leveling becomes a breeze.

Puh leaze, if it tries anything you know just to use lift and throw, no matter what it's level.

Anime style is kind of the opposite of the, uh, Tom of Finland inspired look of Duke.

If you don't get the joke, you might not want to use google-fu in order to understand it.

Well it would be worth it if they freaking kept the Nendoroid figure from the japanese edition, but all America gets is the garbage trading figure versions.

Disgaea 4? I barely finished part 1 on ps3 lol oh well hopefully they Max out the space on that bluray disc.

Preordered this last night. Disgaea 3 is one of my favorite all time games, can't wait to play this game for hundreds of hours while wearing my Prism Ranger t-shirt.

Pre ordered Buffalo-style!! Disgaea is worth it!!!

Joystiq I'm curious as to why you had to name the various versions after various kinds of KFC chicken.

Just a heads up, the figures included in the two premium editions are the Disgaea 4 Trading Figures. They sell for between $65 and $100.
