I'd love it if when you opened the book, there would be a voucher for an achievement which said
ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED
You read a book.

@Andrew12h A better achievement would be 'read a proper book'

How sweet would it be if each time you opened the book the (Terminator-esque) base sound effect at the end of all the trailers played.

And then pay EA 10 bucks to import it to your Xbox/PS3 profile to get the achievement points/trophy.

we should expect some awesome singleplayer story then. Andy McNab must be doing this for the money though, hes books are already too popular. Unless he worked with them on the story from day one.

Exclusive excerpt:

"ccrrrssshHRRRAAAFROWWWWWWWWWWWWWWwww."

The gun went "BANG. BANG BANG BANG BANG," it said. "BLAM BLAM BLAM DUG-A-DUG-A-DUG-A click click click."

John was shot and all bloody and stuff. "Enemy submarine spotted!" he screamed.

"KABOOM. CRAAKNclank clank." "vvreeoooOOOOOOM."

The jeep jumped over the dead body and onto the tank. The tank exploded and all the bodies flew out and hit the guy with the sniper rifle in the face.

@Once known as Shadsy He knew he had to find other people, he knew he couldn't do it alone. It was then that he entered the 16 digit code located on the back of his field manual. Suddenly, other places seemed open to him, he felt a bit of nostalgia sweep over him. "Back to Karkand..." he muttered.

"I can read you like a book, Lynn. And not a very good book. Certainly not Bravo-Two-Zero by Andy McNab."

The main campaign in this book isn't that long.
The multiplayer is what it's all about.

BOOOORING!!!

However in even more intersting news related directly to Battlefield 3

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/gate

It's the legit site, (IP checked etc) but no one can log in. However its in Alpha (as it says) so we're not exactly entering into a CoD Elite type beta for a website.

Oh, forgot to mention the reason the websites interesting is the whole:

"Try battlefield 3 before anyone else."

But nobody can log in to find out how...

Wow, that's interesting. At first, I thought it might be the strategy guide. The one for Bad Company 2 was only $14.99 and was spiral bound and the size of a "mass market paperback". When I checked amazon, however, I was an actual full magazine-sized strategy guide.
Now, I'm curious.
