If you haven't studied up on Catherine, it might surprise you to know it's not just a weird game about women and sheep-men. In fact, the core gameplay is actually an ordinary block puzzle game. As ordinary as any puzzle game with giant, angry babies can be, anyway.

This trailer completely lacked Catherine :(

This game... not what I thought it was. Reminds me of Crazy Climber if Crazy Climber was on crack and being chased by a knife wielding maniac. Must try this one.

So much hype... I wonder if that game will even be worth 10 minutes of my time.

@yoshinatsu The trailer was worth the 10 seconds that made me want to cook and eat a sheep.

It's like some warped sexual Q-bert?

@Gaddes Silly. Q-bert was already warped and sexual.

I enjoy strange and unique games, and plot and art style of this one seem captivating. However, the gameplay is certainly not the strongest aspect. The block-pushing puzzles seemed simultaneously boring and frustrating.

co-op?!?!?!?!
OH HELLS YEAH, I tried the demo out last night with the wife and we both liked it. she spazes out under pressure so the plan was that I would actually be playing the climbing while she watched but CO-OP sounds like a good way for us to practice together so she can get used to it and play on her own.

@Fakeassname Yeah it's a very intense, well done game. I can't wait to try it on Expert...and with the 20 foot baby trying to curb stomp me.

I've already cleared this game (japanese version obviously). And as strange as the puzzle-part of the game looks, it's fun and makes you want to clear it all that much faster to see more of the main story. You can use many different tricks to get through easy and it is after all only a minority of the game. I personally spent most of the gameplay in the bar (the other actual gameplay part of Catherine). I'd be lying if I said this was what I hoped Catherine to look like (I was expecting some form of turn-based RPG) but I like that ATLUS are experimenting with new ways of gameplay :>. I totally recommend it. PS, BEST limited edition release EVER in US XD a must buy even though I already have the game itself.

I thought this game was something. Basing my opinion on what I just saw, I think it's like Ice Climbers. haha.

Well that was a cold shower on my interest.. I thought to as a single player story, maybe to a Heavy Rain/(Japanese) Grudge

I'm interested, but can't justify $60 on a puzzle game.
I'll wait for the inevitable price drop.
