The Darkness 2 delayed until February 2012, making an appearance at Comic-Con

Hey, Jackie boy. The Darkness 2 has been delayed until 2012, with 2K Games announcing new launch dates for both the console and PC versions of February 7 and 10 for North America and Europe, respectively. The sequel was originally scheduled for this October.

If you're attending Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend, there will be eight playable demo kiosks of The Darkness 2 at the Top Cow booth (#2629). There will also be a "Spreading The Darkness: From Comic Book to Video Games and Entertainment" panel on July 21 at noon in Room 9 of the convention center, featuring the co-creator of The Darkness comic, along with talent from the game. No word on whether or not the actual Darkness will show up and eviscerate the audience, but we're going to recommend keeping your distance just in case.

But, yes! That means I can get another game this fall... and then cry about not having this one at the same time.

Probably better off with that crowded AAA release set this fall.

@captplut9465 yeah i am relived but a bit disappointed as i was looking forward to playing this.

Here comes the delays. By the time it's over, COD will be the only game to play this holiday season. UGH.

Probably better for the devs though, the last few months of this year are packed with games. Cant wait for this one though!

Ok. Well, That's 1 less a game I plan on getting this holiday season. It's a bummer but I'm ok.

I wonder what's the next game going to be delayed til next year...

As long as Uncharted 3 doesn't i will be fine..

kinda thankful for this. between this, uncharted 3, and batman: AC, i would've been short on money and shorter on time...

Just wondering if december is a good month because no big being release this month.

Between Rage, Demon Souls, and Batman AC, probably a smart idea.

pff, MW3 is no competition for the darkness

Do they even have comics at Comic Con? I am reading so many articles about various game/game companies going to be there, it baffles me! Then again, I have only ever been to one con (PAX) so I don't know much... in general. :(

Is it just me or does the the guy getting shot at looks like he belongs in Borderlands? Looks a little like Dr Zed. Perhaps it's just that I am playing too much borderlands recently.

More than happy to wait, the series deserves a great sequel too.

Fine by me, too many big releases coming, and me with my huge backlog as always.

Ok... When does it take place? The 40's? 50's? Still no Mac 11 then....

Good, it was supposed to come out the same day as Rage and Dark Souls. It wouldn't of had a chance.
