PopCap games to be bundled with Sony Ericsson phones in Europe
11
PopCap and Sony Ericsson today announced an agreement that will finally bring the casual developer's titles to Android devices in Europe. The agreement will bring them to exactly two of Sony's platforms, the Xperia Mini and the Xperia Mini Pro, as they roll out this summer. Three of PopCap's titles will be pre-loaded onto the devices, specifically the full version of Chuzzle and trial versions of Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle.
In the press release detailing the agreement, PopCap's Giordano Bruno Contestabile stated, "We are delighted to partner with Sony Ericsson to fulfill our promise to Android users and bring PopCap's hit mobile games to an ever-widening base of smartphone users." Presumably, PopCap's titles will spread to more than two of Sony's phones in the future.

It's a massive shame they're bundling trial versions. Full versions would make these the least bloaty and pointless bloatware ever. Everyone should own Plants Vs Zombies! I own it on three different platforms. :|

@Dale P
I've been incredibly resistant to Plants vs. Zombies because I simply don't care for tower defense games.
However, my willpower broke and I ended up buying the game yesterday...
...Good Lord. So addictive.
I played for three whole goddamned hours. It's like some kind of black magic, these Pop Cap games. They take genres I don't even like and, within minutes, have me selling my children into slavery just to play...one..more...game, all while I adamantly insist that "I can quit anytime I want."
I suppose the first step is admitting I have a problem...but f*ck that noise. Crazy Dave just offered me another seed slot, and the zamboni-riding, newspaper-reading undead bastards aren't going to Potato Mine themselves...

So are they going to update the Android version to be at least as good as the iOS version now?

I have the current X10 Mini Pro (I guess the full name is Xperia X10 Mini Pro, which seems to indicate a trend; if they keep removing one word each time then next year's model will probably just be 'Mini Pro', followed by 'Pro' and in 2014 the '').
Anyway, point is, it already comes with Peggle. Dunno if it was trial version or full; I deleted it. It was better than the other free games that came with the system (also deleted), but still not worth playing for more than two minutes.
Other two games are new though. Don't care, to be honest, the only PopCap game I like is Bookworm...
