Hey hey, wait, back up. Beep beep beep.

You can't hit a girl in a fighting game. Better throw a dick on there.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around the fact that people outside of Street Fighter and Tekken are showing up. Are they gonna delay the game and announce Sonic the Hedgehog or Solid Snake out of the blue?

@DJMaxxi I don't know what's so difficult to grasp about the concept of cameos. This kind of stuff happens a lot in fighting games.

@DJMaxxi Well, she/he originally isn't from a SF game, but since 3 came around, you could say she's been in one, at least. So it's not that crazy IMO.

Street Fighter and Final Fight are the same universe.

Poison isn't a cameo.

Street Fighter and Final Fight are the same universe.

Yoshimitsu on the other hand... I'm not too sure about his history.

@Alexisonfire
So what everyone is saying is that since the game is made by Capcom, they can include anyone, including those outside of Street Fighter considering the name of the game is 'Street Fighter x Tekken'.

And going by that logic Cole McGrath makes a lot of sense too.

Fighter games have a way of hurting your head if you think about it too much. Turn brains off and enjoy.

This is you, not getting the point. Final Fight and Street Fighter are CONSTANTLY intermixed, because they are the same world. It's not like every character from Final Fight except Haggar has been in a Street Fighter game or anything, oh, wait....

Cody: check
Guy: check
Maki: check
Rolento: check
Hugo: check
Poison: check

Haggar was the only one that didn't, because he was too much like Zangief, why we had to wait till MvC3 for him.

Was anyone really wanting a Street Fighter vs Tekken game? It seems like such an odd collaboration.

Setting aside the fact that we are talking about a fictional video game character, if a person chooses to identify themselves as one gender or another (regardless of their biological gender at birth) politeness would dictate that they be referred to as the gender they wish to be identified as.

So in this case, Poison is she, not he, not he/she, not "she".

@Jack Spicer

While on that subject, she isn't a transvestite either. The correct term would be transexual or transgender, depending on who you ask. Transvestites are people who dress in clothes usueally meant for the opposite sex while someone who is TS/TG identifies was born as one physical gender but identify themselves as the other. Getting the terminology wrong, while understandable if you are not aware of the distinction, can be seen as extremely rude.

@Justice551 No it's the whole SF4 art style. Did you see the Kazuya and Nina vs Ryu and Ken trailer? Ryu's Hadoken looked like a water ball...

Do remember that Final Fight is consider "Street Fighter '89". That is why You see Cody Breaking the wall that had "Street Fighter '89" in the Super Street Fighter IV trailer when they introduced him in that game. So really it isn't really far off to see Cody,Guy,Hagger, Hugo, and Poison.
