@civilward Hope you can dominate the other team by waiting in their spawn not letting them do nothing but wait to die.

Or that you own team mate can destroy your helicopter...

Except cool tactical stuff is going on across that whole city, as opposed to you sprint-knifing in some corridor-shaped pocket dimension, counting up your killstreak.

You must be blind. Or posting to rattle some cages.

Either way graphically and gameplay-wise they still hold their own respective turf.

I always felt the player models and AI in COD ran like the hunchback of notre dame personally. Graphics are still diversified between the two, and apart from them both being military-based FPS's, nothing between the two is that alike at all.

Either way, can't wait to enjoy both! Though realism always draws me in and BF3 seems to have struck gold as far as the trailers and whatnot go!

One thing i must say for the BF franchise is that their multiplayer really focuses on the teams compared to other shooters.

Other shooters seemed to be funneled down a tube in which matches are imbalanced with 1 guy, or more who're good at being cheesy. Guys who excel in all variations of camping (corner or spawn camping etc), sniping, latency advantages. Not in Battlefield though, where its more evident that you can have a good kill-ratio but its all for nothing if your team is being decimated, or objectives not achieved.

That's why I love the BF games. If you have a group of friends who can competently play the game you are a force on a server. And ya know...SERVERs.

It's all at the level that the player prefers. CoD is more lonewolf than BF. At the same time, BF is a lonewolf arcadey shooter in the eyes of people that play some more complex games, and they look down on BF players the same way that BF players look down on CoD players.

It's all up to what level of "ok time to get focused and win this war" vs "ok I had a long day at work it's time to kick back and shoot some fools" each individual person prefers.

DEDICATED SERVER!! BF2 turned me into a believer. Lone wolf works in COD because that guy is probably hosting the match.

Agreed--but isn't it true that there are a bunch of modes in Battlefield 3 akin to deathmatch in COD? I assume they're trying to draw newer players away from COD--not that there's anything wrong with that.

Wow, hyperbole much? Call of Duty isn't going anywhere. In your "humble" opinion, Battlefield may be a more entertaining experience, but the sales figures don't lie; Call of Duty is more accessible to a larger audience BECAUSE it does't require teamwork.

Are people actually saying this looks like call of duty? Have you ever even played battlefield? This game actually forces you to work together as a team and is completely different from COD. The main difference between the two is that you have FUN playing battlefield, and you get ANGRY playing COD.

I think if you compare this to previous installments of classic Battlefield you'll see what people mean. Personally though I imagine it could work out to be a change for the better.
