R2D2-style Xbox 360 Kinect bundle rolling out for Kinect Star Wars [update]

Or, in English, Microsoft just revealed a new R2D2-styled Xbox 360 Kinect bundle at Comic-Con, in honor of Kinect Star Wars. The Xbox has a special R2D2 look and custom console sounds, and is bundled with a gold, C3P0-style controller (Oh, my!) and an all-white Kinect. It also includes Kinect Star Wars, Kinect Adventures, and a 320GB hard drive!

The bundle will be out this fall. Pre-orders for the $449 bundle are expected to begin today.

Update: Added official pics to the gallery, and moved our Comic-Con snapshot past the break!

Update 2: According to Gavin Spicer of Xbox UK PR, the bundle is coming to the UK as well, though no details have been announced yet.

The pictures on Major Nelson's flickr are excellent. That C-3PO controller is just gorgeous!

Come to think of it, it's entirely more reasonable that Microsoft built C-3PO than Anakin.

Then sell the white Kinect. It would be cheaper for someone to buy a brand new one off you then the new price and you would be able to get a new console cheaper after you sell it than if you bought it without the Kinect.

@psnshe69mee The disc-based exclusives aren't great, but XBLA has some really nice exclusive titles. That 320GB hard drive would be excellent for XBLA and XBLIG.

If only this much effort was being placed into the GEARS3 X360... I'd ditch my current S-model for it, *with the quickness*. A disk tray ejecting to the sound of the Lancer and various Cole Train sounds would be craziness, haha.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do.

Firstly, I actually don't really care much for the Halo series (fun but not my thing) but the grey Halo Reach 360 looks rad!

Secondly, aside from the fact that I'm a sucker for all things Star Wars I actually think that both the controller and console look slick and appreciate the amount of detail and thought they put into making both.
