OT: I am REALLY looking forward to this game, but if it comes out "Late 2011", which is the last thing they said about the PSN version, I'll just buy some new holiday exclusives like Journey.

I can understand your frustration. I am an Xbox owner and there are a handful of PSN games that I want that I won't be able to play until I get a PS3.

What I don't understand is that you are really looking forward to the game, but you won't buy it if it comes out later than you would like? Are you going to suddenly NOT like the game after a certain date?

@Kirkpad I didn't see anyone say it wasn't likely to come to PSN. It's just being delayed because of summer of arcade.

@Urchin80 Oh yeah, I guess that sounds a bit weird. What I should have said was I'll buy it LATER, as Uncharted 3 and Journey will take preference. For instance, I FINALLY got to buy Limbo on PS3. :D

In fact, you're probably in the same boat as me. Loves games, but can't justify buying another console just for a few amazing titles.

@Integral Yeah, I was the one who said it's seeming less likely. Usually when you are talking about release dates, ALL platforms are discussed.

The "Late 2011" PSN date was announced BEFORE they likely got the Summer of Arcade contract. That contract COULD have made them cancel the PSN version, just like Team Meat's contract stopped them from making a PSN Super Meat Boy.

Yeah, that is the situation I am in. There are maybe a couple dozen PS3 exclusive games that I would love to play but that just isn't enough to justify buying another console that is so similar to the one I already have.

I know that one day it will drop to the right price and all the games I want will be $5 or $10 by then.

@Kirkpad Very few people have just PSN anyway, the PS3 is kind of an unpopular console outside of the few die hard SONY fans, the ridiculous price of the thing killed it's launch and it was never able to really recover enough to get a competitive edge in the West with their console.

Plus there's that SONY went illegally kicking in people's doors for using Linux on their PS3 which it had previously been stated by SONY itself that they would be allowed to do.

Then there's the fact that after Anonymous hacked them and was nice enough to let them know about their security flaws, and SONY refused to take the problem seriously even after they had been hacked, which made them a tempting target for Black Hats.

Then they refused to accept responsibility for their negligence, hid the information from effected customers, and wrongly blamed Anonymous when Anonymous had simply pointed out the security flaws.

And the security issue isn't just a problem for gamers, it puts companies that use PSN at risk, if SONY won't take it's security flaws seriously enough to address them until after it's too late (even when given warning) why should any company take the risk of using PSN?

Just face it, the PSN service is tainted, and so is SONY's reputation.

Most developers like consoles better. It's a fact. Most of them treat pc users like pirates who will just steal the game. Their primary market is the console market. They already have a built-in bias, especially considering this company, so why should they give pc users a chance to "pirate" a game, and take sales away from the console version?

It wouldn't surprise me if this were a delay to see the sales first, before launching it on pc.

I'm pretty sure being on Summer of Arcade or any of the other XBLA events requires temporary exclusivity. It's why BG&E and Guardian of Light PS3 versions were a month later, it's why Bastion wasn't a simultaneous PC launch, and it's why Scott Pilgrim launched on PS3 exclusively and then on XBLA after the Summer of Arcade was over.

@Drakkenfyre I think its also that they want to encourage console sales, get PC gamers to get a console if they lack one or get the console version of the game instead. Meh, I'll support the PC anyway I can.

@liquidsoap89 Isn't it obvious the real reason they do it? They want to get people to buy it before turning it over to internet piracy. I don't fault poor people from downloading games like that or people who can't get it any other way or just want to try it before they buy it, but far too many never support the artists who make games like this.

Yea, consoles downgrade my PC gaming any way you look at it. Because you're precious game box is outdated and now I have to play with outdated graphics and engines. Unless OFC you have a game like BF3 that has its own PC version..thank god.

How do you think PC gamers feel about Dust 514?!?!?!? AN MMO/FPS, both genres were BORN ON PC and the PC is being left out completely..

Take that in to consideration next time you feel the need to whine and moan about 1 game that isn't coming to your platform.

@Slomoshun Who's whining now? I talked about a single platform, not even the console itself, and you go off about how the PC gets shafted (except in a much more whiny and cry-baby like manor).

Personally I don't really like the PS3 platform nearly as much as the PC platform due to my childhood. However I adore the PSN platform as a safe haven for unhacked content (besides those pesky gamesharers) and flourishing developers :D

Sheesh, all this debate over a single troll-bait comment completely aimed at Ubisoft for their poopy DRM and terrible Sands of Time HD port. Didn't mean to drag anyone into it. Rage at me more on Twitter if you want.
