Get From Dust a day early, snag The Maw for free [update: ITSP and Fruit Ninja pulled]

Much the same as the Microsoft Store deal last week, those who use the store to purchase this week's Summer of Arcade entry, From Dust, will also receive The Maw for free. That's not surprising. What is surprising, is that Microsoft Store purchase of From Dust can be redeemed right now, the day before it officially arrives on Xbox Live Arcade.

Even though we already own The Maw, we decided to give it a try -- so deep is our love for you -- and, sure enough, we successfully redeemed a code for From Dust. Those wishing to hop on the XBLA God-simulator bandwagon a little early can do so right here.

Update: Reader Tom pointed out that Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and Fruit Ninja Kinect are also available early from the MS Store, and also come with free copies of The Maw. Want proof? Here you go: ITSP, Fruit Ninja Kinect. We're going to look really foolish when Microsoft takes those down, but they both work as of right now.

Update 2: Microsoft has pulled both Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and Fruit Ninja Kinect from the Microsoft Store.

Because I already own the Maw (fun game BTW), I already bought Ms. Splosion Man, and I'm likely going to buy this I'll wait for tomorrow. Then I can cash in the 200 msp reward for buying two games 800 + points.

Ok, so how come I can't purchase this with my exisiting Microsoft Points? This asks me to enter in my address and credit card information. Is this the PC version or the Xbox 360 version?

@xXxSKORMxXx - It's the Xbox 360 version but this is a purchase from the Microsoft online store, not from the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Fruit Ninja will give you a DL code that doesn't work yet. No one has found a way for Toy Soldiers.

I paid for the Fruit Ninja game. Completed the process. But when I enter my code onto the xbox, it says "I found a glitch". But the code I received for The Maw worked fine. Wonder if they are limiting me until the release day for Fruit Ninka?

I did the same. My hope is that they just don't have Fruit Ninja loaded up for reviewer downloads yet (which go out early so they can play the game ahead of time), since it's release is further out on the schedule & once they do, we'll be able to use the codes. Either way, the game is bought though.

If you haven't already, try your code now. I just checked it because I was bored tonight (haven't been trying since just after buying it) and the code worked, downloaded & playing as of now.

Neither are working now, as of 12:00am EDT :(

Wow, looks like I barely got it in time! I got the link from the From Dust review comments, I'm playing it right now. Lots of fun so far.

I was in bed when I read this article on my phone. Ran straight to my computer. Purchased all three and got From Dust and Insanely Twisted: Shadow Planet installed. I CANNOT stop playing IT:SP! Amazing game!
