This is a bit of an odd trailer, more like a game's overview than a trailer really. I guess they worried that not many remember the original one and so they want to "explain" things a bit. Considering this one is coming out for consoles (which didn't have the original, I think) it kinda makes sense, but really, at the end of the day, if you didn't find the game interesting before I doubt this will do it for you.
Anyway, as for me I'm excited as ever about it and can't wait for the 23rd.

im sure this trailer isnt necessarily for people that played the old games.. but more for people new to the series. even if it were a pc exclusive... itd still make since considering the last game came out almost 8 years ago.
it could also be so that they can show fans of the original games that havent played the leaked portion of the game that it stays true to the series since warren spector nor anybody from ion storm have nothing to do with this game.

I cant wait to see if this game matches my current hype level, definitely has me most intrigued as a single player game until uncharted 3 and skyrim come out.

I sincerely doubt this game will live up to the original, and, even though the second one was garbage, it won't even be able to live up to that one either.

Early reviews all say the opposite. If they're to be believed, this is the sequel everyone's been waiting for.
But keep being cynical and don't buy the game. I'm sure it won't live up to your high standards. Maybe play the latest Call of Duty game instead. *cough*

Deus Ex 2 tried to, but messed it all up with gibberish, and isn't this supposed to be a prequel to the first?
While I'm sure it'll be a great game, part of what made the first one so awesome is that it taught you many real things in history, and tied it into real current conspiracy theories or the New World Order/Illuminati, etc....
