Wait for a sale. I liked both demos as well and will pick them up when they go on sale.

i got Bastion and ITSP and i gotta say, they are totally worth it! Bastion is an awesome game, though a bit on the easy side. if you do everything there is to do, you could probably sink 10+ hours into it, but playing through on New Game + took about an hour and a half. can't speak for From Dust, but i did enjoy the demo.

BTW, to anyone who hasn't played Bastion yet, DO IT. One of the best action RPGs I've played in a long time, and the narrator is the absolute best thing to come along in ages. I really hope more games do a "dynamic" narration style like this.

@Red Runner Didn't like the narration.. I killed myself on purpose & it didn't notice, It was like having someone next to you saying lines before they were said in a film - might retry it & see if I can turn it off

Yeah the narration kicks ass.

When I fell off and the guy said "Then the kid falls to his death....just kidding" it was one of the first times I've genuinely smiled at a videogame in a long while.

I was actually sorta disappointed with From Dust, and loved Bastion. Before either came out, I thought it'd be switched.

I really like the look of Bastion and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. From Dust looked pretty good as well, especially considering its also at the lower downloadable price. After this start I was considering buying the whole collection to get the free game until I remembered that one game requires Kinect, effectively killing the chance that I'll do that. That's a shame, because I'll probably only buy Bastion and ITSP now.

@Toop "especially considering it's also at the lower downloadable price." Also indicates that they both share the same price, though it also could have meant that he was saying that the price added to how good it looked. Regardless, if he worded it as he meant it, the first meaning would be the correct one and your response would be pointless.

I've never understood the need to reply without first reading what you're responding to.

I'm absolutely loving From Dust right now. I have a few more levels to play but I'm looking forward to doing those and then starting on the challenge levels. Then I'll pull the trigger on Bastion, since the demo was pretty awesome.

I like from dust, not liking the "joystiq" controls on xbox though. I'll def pick it up when it comes to pc though. Just kinda feels more like a pc game to me

Is From Dust any good? I've never actually played a god sim game, so I have zero perspective on this.

I really enjoy it and for the price, you can't go wrong. I'd say the joystiq review was pretty much spot on with the good vs. bad of the game too, so you should check that (and the demo) out. It's a bit clunky at times, but has enough going for it to make you look past that.

I bought Bastion and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet so far. Both are absolutely great! I have yet to try From Dust. If not for the stupid Kinect Fruit Ninja I would have bought From Dust right away to be eligible for the free game. I read a lot of good things regarding From Dust, so I am sure I will try it eventually.

Scored The Maw for free with ITSP. I been want that game for quite some time.

Does anyone else think that looks like the summon from Final Fantasy 9?

Demo was awesome and this was the first game I even considered paying $15 for on XBLA but I eventually decided to stick to my belief that I am never willing to pay $15 for an XBLA game.

Good to see Bastion is still doing so well. That's a far better game than From Dust, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Not saying you shouldn't buy From Dust, but you can't miss Bastion.

I don't have a problem, a mouse is just more precise for the type of movement involved in this game. I'm not knocking xbox, I play mine everyday... Just certain games I'd rather play on my pc
