Infinity Blade temporarily on sale
17
Epic Games' "hugely successful" iOS game Infinity Blade is currently half off for ... um, apparently no real reason. A representative for developer ChAIR told us, "This is a temporary sale we're running for an undetermined amount of time." The game, regularly priced at $5.99, is currently available for $2.99.
The universal iOS app has been a hero in the sales department, surpassing $10 million in sales six months after launch. Infinity Blade is currently being turned into a freemium title for Japan, expected to launch this fall.

It's one of five iOS games that's well worth the price of admission.

No doubt there's some fun stuff, and I love, love, love my iPhone, but I'm not gonna pretend it's good for gaming.

Nah cause my android phone has Office, OpenOffice, virtual desktop, vignette, snes/nes/genesis/gameboy/gba/gamegear/etc games on it (over 9000), it plays flash video, have a video player that supports as many filetypes as mpchc, hex editor, groupwise/communicator emulator, global connectivity, free gps turn-by-turn, file manager, netflix, hulu plus, minecraft, allows me to theme my phone down to the boot flow splash screen and system audio notifications, and open marketplace, the ability to install programs via apk over the internet without authorization by an all power authoritarian manufacturer or software modification, and I could go on and on. Also have my own id files made to connect my gamepad/joystiq/keyboard/mouse over either wi-fi, lan or bluetooth.
Sure you might need that, but I like my handset to do more than just play back goofy soundboards, to-do lists, substandard games and render websites in external programs for efficiency in the dumb-ed down input-limited experience iOS offers.
